Strap me on sometime!

I was accidentally lying when I said that we spent Saturday night having band practice!

That was Sunday night!

Anyway, on Saturday day we went to CJ's, a music shop in the city that has just been able to open up post quake.

It was a fecking eyeopener, going through the little bit of town we were able to drive through.

Jeez, the mess.

G was thinking about a new guitar.......and then he bought one!

Not the one he is holding though. He bought an Australian make, a Matson, I think it's called.

Hand made, not on an assembly line in China.

Thi is the guitar that I would buy if I played......

I amused myself by looking at straps.

And posing like a plonka.

I'm wearin g a fabulous shirt and maxi sent to me a while back by my beloved Vix !

Along with:

Vintage waistcoat, opshopped

Socks-gift from my darling Sarah

Handbag-vintage, opshopped

Shoes-Trade Me
Scarf-opshopped

Scarf clip-vintage, opshopped

Then we came home and ponced about on the lawn with Harvey.

This is the poster for Friday night's gig.

And this is the funky set list G whipped up.

We're doing a short set of our rockiest numbers.

I sing lead on Loathing and Country Bozo. The rest I'm on backing, except for Extra(ordinary) where I sing with Si.

Yes, I do sing!!!

Not as good as I used to.

Le Sigh.

A nasty bout of laryngitis a few years back and a seemingly endless asthmatic cough have deepened my voice, which isn't entirely bad.
Not sure when you'll get to hear me.

We started recording last year, but had to put it aside. We plan on having another go, and when we have something suitable, you can all adore me!!!

Hurrah!

I love your voice, regardless. Seriously. I really like this outfit too! I saw a t.v. show on Matson guitars a while back, apparently they are the bomb!

We adore you anyway!! No singing necessary - although I would definitely love to hear some at some point.

ps - the socks rule.

That swooshin' maxi is to-die-for. Deep skirt envy.

I would buy that glitter guitar too, if I played. I used to sing, but my voice is merely used for fishwife-like announcements at work. No need for a tannoy when I'm around.

How amazing is that glitter guitar? I can just imagine Jon's reaction if I tried to get him to swap one of his for that beast.
Harvey rocks.
Love you loads!

It is a MATON - the Maton factory is in Melbourne and they are truly fab Australian guitars (I'm selling mine to buy my caravan if anybody wants to buy a beautiful small body semi with steel enforced touring case!). Congrats to G on his new guitar!

Now to the important business... you look GORGEOUS as always! I adore the entire ensemble - and don't you think Mrs Slocombe would APPROVE? I do! I adore the socks with the more sombre tones and that hair clip is quirkyfab!

Have you changed their names??? Harvey?
