We were pleased that management saved the entire theatre just for us, and we squealed our way throughout the film, over frocks, cars and what-not....
Michelle Williams was really rather good in the role; capturing the suble nuances of Marilyn's character and her mannerisms beautifully. She didn't look quite right; for a start she's about the size of Marilyns left leg, so they had to pad her up quite a bit; and her face isn't very similar. But overall she was very convincing!
I really enjoyed the film.
Kenneth Branagh was fabulous as Sir Laurence Olivier, and Judi Dench was in it! SQUEE!
The story was very sweet, and Marilyn was depicted as both an unconfident, manipulative, needy pain in the ass and a talented, damaged, lonely, manipulated woman.
Pretty much what I have always thought of her!
And after the movie, I went on to my next date; a hot date with G!

Looking resplendent in pink Lady Helga. And the lovely Vanessa looks fabulous too.
I find it kind of sad that modern Hollywood actresses are too thin to play someone who is regarded probably the sexist lady of all time. Where have all the curves gone from the silver screen?
Oh I love your socks...and such a great bag. You both looked wonderful :)
Ive just finished reading the book and I think pretty much summed up what Marilyn's character. You two look gorgeous but then I'd expect nothing less.

You had the whole cinema to yourselves!?!!!!!! I hope you took a bottle of wine in with you!!! Woohoo legs in the air waving at the screen!!!!! I love your description of the movie ... I don't know about MW as Marilyn - she's a bit on the pixie side for me. Look at you two - you are the brunette and redhead versions of Marilyn - why didn't they pick you????????? So fecking gorgeous!!! Did you have cars screeching and smashing into light poles outside? xoxoxoxooxxooxo
