This is the street where G spent the first 4-5 years of his life.
He had the sweestest round, feckled little face as a child, quite unrecognisable from his adult face!
This is my "new" 50's coat and 60's hat from the Two Squirrels sale last week.
They just happen to go perfectly with this frock that my lovely Curtise sent me last week!
Ilike it when that happens; my natural inclination towards matchy-matchy is appeased!
Shoes scored off Trade Me; the cream tights were retail.
The divine 50's sunglasses were from recent birthday girl Sue !
I've had this 60's vinyl handbag for quite a few years.
I suspect I found it in my local St Vinnies.
I think yesterday was one of the most pleasant Saturday's ever!
We spent ages with coffee and breakfast in bed, ran a short errand for some curtain bits and bobs, finished the other alcove curtain, hennaed my hair, had a visit from Kaikoura friends Dave and Jana and their 2 daughters, found a frock all cut out and ready to sew from last year, watched 2 Midsomer Murders and had an early night.
It's a hard life, being a party animal, but someone's got to do it!

Lurvely outfit. How wonderful that the new coat & Curtise frock work so well together. Love the red, white & blue. Those Autumn pics look heavenly.
Woohoo! Yer look fab luv :D I'm a bit matchy too! As for messages, leaving a party last night and walking across teh road to stay with some other friends (saved driving home) there was a message from my undies, it went 'Paaarrp' ;D
I love it when the universe helps bring a matchy-matchy outfit together:)
I love me some matchy matchy goodness! You look very grand in your coat and that backdrop is amazing. xx
Beautiful outfit that coat is so ruddy glamourous and love that dress, your saturday sounds idyllic to me! Think I am going to stay in bed till I am given food, starving marving xxx
That coat does look fabulous on you. You always seem to have awesome sunglasses. I love the shape of those ones.
Sounds like a nice calm Saturday - sometimes it's good to take it easy. I had a similar day, popped out to post a parcel and go to the butchers and bakers, then spent most of the afternoon sewing, which is a bit naughty as the weather's been pretty nice the last few days!
What a lovely street I love autumn when all the leaves crunch under foot. You look like a total hottie as always, cant get enough of your shades xx
Great shoes and red bag!!
You look perfectly co-ordinated and gorgeous in your red white(cream) and blue, how very patriotic! Lovely autumnal scenery too.
Such lovely colours! Your hair looks magnificent against the blue of your coat.
Goodness me, Sue's sunnies are freaking fabulous!!! I love the coat and the perfectly matching frock and our Helga's trademark red, white and blue colour scheme. You look amazing.
G's childhood street is so pretty with all those dreamy trees and autumnal piles of leaves.
What a perfect sounding lazy weekend, good company, great TV, a forgotten-about frock and food.
Love you!
Speak tomorrow????

Those sunnies are fabulous! What a rare color too. And I bet you must have screamed when you saw those shoes, they're perfect!
Ahh St Vinnies - how I loved trawling St Vinnies as a teen for second hand clothes and accessories. Love your blue coat!
I love the whole outfit. I've been keeping my eye out for a vintage jacket that will fit me. The hat and jacket complement each other beautifully.
Your making me miss fall.. with all the sacttered yellow leaves in the photo.
Great dress & coat, love your sunnies, shoes & bag.
I am glad you had a very pleasant Saturday.
Mine was quite good too.
Fecking gorgeous. I love the blue of the coat and the shoes. Yummy yummy matchy matchy!xxxxx
It's so nice to see a street without cars lining it. Makes the backdrop to your outfit look like a film, and you are the star in those awesome shades.
The outfitted marries together perfectly, coordinating is what I'd call it, the over-all look is unique.
I'd love to see pics of you and G-man when you were little.
I really need a Helga outfit calender. Seriously. Love the 'fit, and the 'tude. xo.
Ooh look at the beautiful Autumn colours - and then there's YOU in your spectacular Helga-ness! Everything is so beautiful - you are like a work of ART, darling. I absolutely adore your outfit from head to toe, it's all perfection. That coat is the most marvellous colour - and I love your hair out in all of its magnificent fiery glory! Love you more than trees, Sarah xxx

Ah, the vintage gods have seen that you are good and rewarded you with items of matchy-matchness. All is as it should be. And NO ONE does red, white and blue as good as you (and that even rhymes!)
So pleased you like the frock, and that it has met it's perfect partner in that divine coat from Two Squirrels.
Love the photo of your feet among the leaves.
Hurrah for pleasant Saturdays spent pottering about at one's own pace doing nice things with nice people! xxxxxx
