Ah, a sunny Saturday with a glorious Nor'Wester!
Perfect for trotting on down to my friend Anissa's vintage market!
But first I had to have a posing session by the river across the road!
The Avon "River" winds its way through Christchurch, but isn't much more than a stream, really!
Still, we manage punting, and some rowing on it!
The best thing about it is the bird life; G and I love checking out what's happening in duck world, and at the moment there are baby paradise ducks in abundance!

What a sweetie, and sooo teensy!
I was concerned I migth do her an injury accidentally with one of my booboids.
Just looove her frock!
I came home with a lovely piece of fabric and some gloves from Jenny, plus some fabularse vintage buttons!
The green ones sre for that little jacket I'm making, when I pull my finger out to finish it!
I was quite well behaved.

You look beautiful Helga - I love that frock! I always love checking out bird life too when I'm out and about in town - we have some seriously cheeky Tui in Wellington.
Love that fabric you bought and THOSE buttons *swoon*
You two are so cute, the things you do when you're out together. When I hear the word Christchurch all I can think of is the recent earthquake. I had a friend who was in town there just a few hours before it all happened. In these photos it looks so sweet and innocent. I'd love to see your neck of the woods some day. You live in a paradise.
My god, you look absolutely divine! The colours are amaaazing, you look like icecream. That dress is a stunner, it's far too long since I've been to a costume shop sale and you are giving me some serious envy.
Must admit I laughed at the idea of someone being injured by booboids Helga. This dress is lovely, the colours just sort of glow softly in your New Zealand light. It's grey skies here and bloody freezing so I am jealous. Love your suitcase full of your stash, you found some great bits and bobs. xx
What a absolutley stunning outfit ! Could it tear of you in envy !!
the necklaces are boss!
Your 50s frock is AMAZING!! I love it!! :))
Oh you look beautiful! The dress is stunning and the petti too is super!
I absolutely love the colors of your outfit. They fit the happy day. And the setting of your pics. It just looks so perfect there. I'm glad you had fun.
Such bright gorgeous pics. Your dress is divine dear and you know I always love a flash of cleveage and a cheeky glimpse of petticoat. Jenny's dress is gorgeous too and what lovely things you found.
The old accidental boob injury. I feel your pain! It's a lack of spacial reasoning with me. I always misjudge how much room I have and end up nudging some unspecting old lady with a boob or knocking some kid over with my giant arse, usually when I bend over to rummage in a charity shop! :) xxxx
That skirt is made for twirling. Pink and orange together? Why, yes! Love the jewelry.
Wow sweetie I don't know what's prettier that lush greenery or your precious pink self, I'm torn by how gorgeous you both look! The frock is gorgeous and love it with the leopard belt. But we all are admiring your beautiful boobs, (ahhhhhh- to be said as light shines down on them from Heaven)
You were extremely tame and its because you have to love it to get it:) I love you sweetie! Tell G I said what up man!
Beautiful and amazing pictures ! What a crazy good idea to mix pink with orange ! Brilliant !!!

GAWJ! Love your frock, bag and neck adornments. It's my birthday today and we've had to take refuge from freezing weather in the pub. One day I'll have to celebrate on your side of the world!

Looking hot to TROT as per! xx
HI There, Love the pink and orange combinations, beautiful location pictures and the bird talk.
"due to the Hungry Growler syndrome." The mind boggles!
You are a vision of loveliness by that trickle of water you call a river. Perhaps this new vintage seller needs to be slowly broken in.
You look simply gorgeous. Love the orange petticoat!
Darling, you are absolutely STUNNING in this fabularse frock and petticoats - and the colour combo is AMAZING! Your hair is perfection, your accessories are sublime - you are farking SUPERMODEL!!! Love you more than DUCKLINGS! Sarah xxx
I would have loved a shot of you reclining in a row boat drifting lazily down the river as G serenaded you with love songs. This outfit inspires such images. You are a complementary burst against the greenery.
I love the skirt and the photo of the bag held in front of its pink floral beauty with the orange cardi is true art. You never disappoint!
You utter vision of fabulousness! Despite the killer booboids and hungry growler you look absolutely splendid in your orange and pink ensemble and the Jenny looks such a teensy cutie.
Those buttons are indeed fabularse and I'm all for ducks in abundance!
Love you!
Vix! xxxxxxxxx

What a wonderful combination of necklaces! Love the romance of your floral frock and bag together with the tangy tangerine. Those iridescent green vintage buttons are delightful.
Oh God, I am so behind! Ooh err... I am catching up, and I am in lerve with that beautiful frothy frock! You can knock me out with your magnificent booboids any day of the working week, my darling, feel free! Gorgeous setting, Jenny is a doll, and there is adorable YOU, rummaging!

Ow again that great petit point handbag. :D I hope I will get one for my birthday. (been given little hints to hubby. :D )
You and Jenny are looking really great together with the gorgeous pink and bleu flower dresses. Both dresses are to die for. I think they will look funny on me, because I am so short. :) But I love them.
Looks like you've had a wonderfull day with great findings. :)

You'll have someone's eye out with those!
wow, just wow - the pink dress with the leopard belt and the sherberty cardi and orange tights, you're gorgeous! So fabulous, look at your teensy waist - you bitch, it's all that messing about on the river that you get up to - ooh err
Hungry Growler syndrome? I love the color of those fishnets! When you make them into stockings, do you just cut the top off and use a garter belt?
Helga, you look so pretty in these colours, surrounded by the soft greens of spring.
