More is never enough!

Doesn't my little jewellery nook look a treat?!
My new 3 drawer formica lowboy fits perfectly, and is now full of sunglasses, nail varnish and general crap (top drawer), pussybow and huge collar shirts (second drawer) and black cardigans (third drawer).
We are making huge inroads into sorting out the storage in my sewing/dressing room.
There's still a ways to go, but I'm feeling quite chirpy about the whole affair.
It won't be long before I am happy enough with it to give you a little tour.
In fact, calling this room my sewing/dressing room just isn't good enough.
It needs a name.
Helga's Boudoir?
The Den of Delights?!
What, darlings, shall I call this room?!
Your assistance please!

Boudoir is a very nice word - booty and phwoar together.

I love this picture, because I really want to see everyone's closets and cupboards and wardrobes. Where do you keep everything??!! I imagine you have a kitchen and the rest of the house is your dressing room!

Impressive display of accessories Helga. I want to know whats in the tins?? Where do you keep your spectacular hosiery collection??? How many black cardigans have you got?? Boudoir sounds fab - very exotic!

I'm still Smiling over Val's Comment! You're so very Organized, I'm impressed and a bit envious of your Fab Nook... I've got my Accessories scattered everywhere and most of my Religious Statuaries are wearing Gypsy Bangles and outrageous amounts of Bling... does that mean I'm going to Hell I wonder? *winks*

It could be the 'Adornment Area' but unlike your suggestions it doesn't sound very racy. I wish I could think of something saucy and witty but after a 12hr night shift I'm brain dead.x

The playroom - there you go! Boy, if I had my druthers, I can even tell you what part of my bedroom would be as rich as this one - just beautiful!!!

Ooh I felt all excited when I saw the pic in my blog list, I love looking at Helga's nook! Even though it makes me a bit jealous I must admit, I will one day have a space like this, though Pat would say our whole bedroom is a space like this, but much untidier. I'm not very good at thinking of names for things but I like Pink Cheetah's suggestion, the Boom Boom Room, it sounds like some decadent club. xx

Helga's Boudoir is easy for us who don't understand all your expressions even if your own "Glossary for non-antipodeans is invaluable. The Den of Delights sounds professional (good name for a band maybe?), but Google translate does'nt want to help me with it. I also have the advantage of having a completely separate room for my (beautiful) junk, and I always PLAN to create order ...

How very organised - I need more hangers, my son's lovely GF made me one fro Xmas a few years ago but it is all full!

You could call it your Nookie?

Boudoir sounds pretty decadent&hot, it's a lovely name!
I'm loving how your necklaces are showing off! and it's fabulous that you have that floodlight to light up your bijouteries!

The Reverie Room, a magical place where you can get lost in a cascade of baubles & beads, dive into a sea of creativity and emerge looking like a dream, naturally...xXx

I don't know that you can top The Nookie.

How lovely! (K, I'm kinda drooling, it looks so scrumptious.) I have to figure a different system for my jewelry, its a mess... no excuse since I even have a matching vanity (which your pic has given me the idea to reorganise for jewelry... um when I get around to it...) I was thinking along the lines of "Helga's Salon of Sin" but I love ^^Julie's suggestion of "Pussy Parlour" as an homage to Mrs. Slocombe! XXX

The Grande Dame said...

Oh my it does look lovely and so organised! I do like the word boudoir but I think Pussy Parlour takes the cake! You just need a small altar in honour of Mrs Slocombe to top it off. xx

Seeing as you always look like a star, shouldn't it be your Green Room. And like all stars some fun and seedy things would have to happen there pre- and post- show of course!

Forest City Fashionista said...

I would have to vote for Sarah's suggestion of "the Nookie". I cannot believe how much you have fit into such a small space, and so organized! I need to get you over here to my place.

Be still my OCD heart!! OOOOOO organization!!!!!
I vote Helga's Boudoir- soinds classy yet slightly slutty!

my heavens what a load of lovely bling!

El Rincon De Las Maravillas (Helga's Coner of Wonders) will be my choice!

I would call it "The Jewellery Box"
Boring, I know, but that's what popped into my head when I saw your pic. I am your 'poor relation' as far as jewellery and bling (and outrageousness) goes. I don't even have an engagement ring - and I've been married for 23 years! I'm a bit of a less-is-more girl, but we can still be friend's, can't we?

p.s when my girls Grandad lived in New Orleans he used to gather up all the bling thrown to the crowds during Mardi Gras and post it over in a big box. It was like opening a treasure chest. Even I got excited! (your pic reminds me of that too)

Sue said...

Oh I do so like the Va Va Voom suggestion as you have so much Va Va Voom that it would be rude not too!!!! The nook is quite perfect and there is always room for more!!! There is never enough, so go forth Helga my child and find more!!!

Hmmm, I kinda like The Den of Delights! I envy your jewelery organization. Mine's a terrible mess at the moment!

If I had a room this good it would be my Room of Hooky!! If you couldn't find me I would be found there stroking all of its perfect delights. So maybe it will be The Stroking Room - or The Room of Stroke. :)) xoxoxoxoxox

I like Helga's Boudoir. I am so jealous of your purpose made jewellery nook. Lucky woman. :)

Wendy said...

"Helga's Altar Room". :) I'm loving all of the accessories and what not!

Vix said...

The Big Girl's Boudoir, The Lair of Loveliness, Trollop's Dressing Up Box? I dunno, it's so deliciously inviting and tidy, I'd be there like a shot, rummaging through your drawers and wearing your bra on my head like a hat!
How many black cardis have you got to fill an entire drawer? Spill!
Tell you one thing, you're putting my floordrobe to shame!
Love ya! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Rose&Bird said...

Fabularse my dear! When I grow I want to have one just like it, it's so organised as well x

Helga's Hole? Helga's Corner Of Wonder? Helgas Happy Hovel? The Trollopatorium? Helga's Drawers Of Delight? Ms Von Trollop's Wookie Hole? Anything will hole would be good. The Church Of Von Trollop?

Can't believe you have a whole drawer dedicated to black cardis! you nutter. You're amazing. As is your hole xxxx

pastcaring said...

Hahaha, Helga's Hole! That Miss Simmonds, she's a bugger.
Can't top the existing suggestions, but it should definitely be cheeky and risque and full of double, or even triple, entendres, as befits your Mrs Slocombe-esque self!

What a fabularse nook, darling? Nookie in the Nook - is there room?! xxxxxx

The VaVaVoom Room.

Well done, girl. Swooned over that rack of beads!

Excellent lowboy and top marks for all your organisation! As far as the name goes...I vote for "The Boudoir" because it sounds so regal...anything with the word "the" in the title makes it sound exclusive and posh and because boudoir conjures up images of fluffy, pink and fun....I call my bedroom the boudoir all the time. xx Shauna

I agree with others that you need a slightly decadent name, although my first thought was that your little nook was like a "Wunderkammer" (wonder-room) or "cabinet of curiosities" (although I don't think you have a merman skeleton or narwhal tusk (or maybe you do). The formica drawers are very cool.
