Just a tainted bird hurting their twisted nerve

We had a public holiday last Thursday, which meant it would be a great idea for G and I to take the Friday morning off and have a 4 day weekend!!!
Naturally, we took that idea and ran with it.
We popped up to Kaikoura to visit our friends Dave and Jana, spending one night with them and another at The Pier Hotel...romantic getaway, y'know......

Frock- a reconstructed 70's frock, the trim was from my sistercousinwife Sarah
Sandals-Trade Me
Handbag-60's vanity case, a market
Bow-made it myself
Beads-60's, a market in Wellington
Sunglasses-Catch a Thief

One of my favourite things to do is to cook with friends, and Jana and I work well together in the kitchen.
We spent a lovely afternoon whipping up this Indian feast (butter chicken, saag gosht, golden egg curry and chick pea flour pancakes) which took us about 20 minutes to demolish!
I'm personally quite impressed with our success considering the amount of bubbles and red wine we consumed, not to mention the incessant yapping!
Multi tasking.
Must be good at it!

Oh look at all that delicious food! I can almost smell it. That is how food should be made, as a team, having fun, then it doesn't matter that it all disappears so fast. It makes me think of that programme, the darling buds of may, their whole lives revolved around the production and consumption of food and boy were they happy. I love you in this frock, you look so girlish and just lovely clambering over the rocks. Weekends away seeing friends are what makes working worthwhile! Xxxxxxx

You are an absolute vision! That altered frock, you and that spectacular beach are a work of art and that Indian feast ain't half bad either.
Cooking whilst pissed is a marvellous achievement - I sacked a few blokes back in the day for the same offence (sadly their efforts didn't resemble yours!)
Have a fabulous weekend, darling!
Love you! xxxxxx

Looks like a great mini-break all round. I was surprised how english the little cove looked, and you look like a cute sailor girl in that nautical outfit- the trim makes it pop!

You always make the yummiest exotic food, but that feast is very impressive. xx Shauna
