Yet another blast from my past....

Me in 1988.

1990,with Gillian, before one of the many infamous Old Mill parties.
(The Old Mill was literally an old flour mill, converted somewhat haphazardly into apartments and inhabited by musos & artists in the late 80's/early 90's.A lot of very messy parties/gigs are dimly remembered......I lived there for a brief period,Gillian lived in a huge top floor apartment for years).
I seem to be having a bit of a renaissance at the moment, and thinking a lot about all the crazy shit I got up to back then.I couldn't physically cope with it now!!!Good times, though, some life changing and character making experiences too.

I love these kind of posts, it's so interesting to see what others got up to! You are rocking some serious hair and make up there!! :)
We used to have some major house parties at a place called the Old Mill, friends family had converted it and the fields around inc woods were great for parties.

You're like the female Robert Smith in that second or what! My 1980's years aren't fit for human consumption.
I swear I had the same pvc thigh boots as you.
Ain't it odd how much stamina we had back in the day? I often think back to the days of staying out all night and turning up for work in my going out clothes reeking of cider.

Simply brilliant pics!
I agree with Vix about the Cure-esque hair in the second photo.
I had a major crush on Robert Smith back in the day.
I dunno but bands just seemed to have more quirk & spirit about them back then but then again I may very well be guilty of donning the rose tinted specs?!
I couldn't physically cope with the 24/7 partying now either, I seriously believe I'd drop down dead on the floor if I consumed as many units of alcohol in a night now as I did back then….our poor livers took one helluva beating me thinks!
You are an intensely fascinating blogger & I love reading about your past, present & planned escapades...keep the posts coming my dear!

Fantastic! You looked the business. I don't think I could cope with putting as much make up on as I did back then, let alone anything else! Where did that level of stamina come from? I used to dance for about five hours straight!I know I couldn't keep up with my seventeen year old self...she'd have left me at the bus stop with a bag of chips by about 11pm...xx

Dearest Helga, I absolutely love these photos! You look fantastic.

I spent almost 25 years of my life out and up to all sorts. Now I love staying in. I can only do one night up now. I used to stay up from Friday til Monday every weekend. My best friend and I worked out we stayed up at least two nights a week, but usually more, which meant we stayed up for 104 nights more than everyone else! We would have gone to bed had it been boring xx
