Amidst the rubble, I have but one thing on my mind....

Sequins.

I'm really into them right now.

I'm feeling a little obsessive about the silver stretchy sequin belt I picked up the other week, and rather fancy a gold one....

I have the urge to dress a little like a showgirl, or a Moulin Rouge pantie flashing wench.....mmmm, sequin panties, with frills that have different colour sequins...ooooo

I'm quite thrilled, too, with that yellow/gold sequin bow I was wearing the other day.

It's all very relevant, incidentally, that a co-worker calls me "Sparkle". I like it.

Speaking of work, I wore these rabbit ears today.

Somehow, I managed to leave the house without a hair ornament.

I find it upsetting to be with out a hair ornament.

I feel quite naked, and even a bit traumatised.

As I have been relatively unaffected by the earthquake, I really have no excuse for lowering my standards.

These rabbit ears live by my desk. Just in case.

And they came in very handy today; I felt a whole lot better about my day.

If they just had sequins.....

O, for my Oscar acceptance, I was wearing:

Frock-opshopped and shortened
Belt-opshopped
Tights-Can't remember
Stripper heels-Bangkok, years ago.
Sorry I forgot to enter that crucial information!!

X
PS: I'm not really shallow enough to have nothing but sequins on the brain.
O, wait, no, I am!
PPS: As for Colin, I believe he's man enough to handle my fabulousness!!!
I daresay he could help me find places for sequins that even I hadn't thought of!!
OOOER!

Oh my, those square-cut gold sequins are the absolute dogs bollocks and you certainly have no excuse to dress down in these harsh times. You OWE it to the people of CC to wear rabbit ears, sequinned knickers, multiple hair bows and stripper heels to show off those fabulouso pegs of yours. I nearly bid on a pair of pink sequinned Topshop knickers the other day - why didn't I? What the HELL was I thinking??? I love your eye makeup today darling:)))) xoxoxoxoxxooxoxoxoxoxo

Oh darling, you really should get a government grant for maintaining fabulousness in the face of adversity. I wish I could find you some sequins to send your way.
Those bunny ears are so cute and what have you done different to your eyes? They are beautiful. xxx

Sequins and bunny ears are always needed at work. They bring a bit of fabulous to an otherwise grey day. In an ideal world employers would be required by law to provoide entertaining headgear to all workers: I would go for an owl half-mask I think.

I'm obsessed with glitter at the moment- glitter nails, lips, eyes, shoes...

I think the bunny ears need a sequin bow x

I love it that you've got bunny ears on stand- by at work. That's so brilliant.

I've got a thing about lurex at the mo.

I love sequins too. Wear them everyday if possible, do not care if it is appropriate at all. Lots of happy greetings from Norway

I'm sure you and Colin would have hours of fun rolling around in sequins. ;)
I love a sequin, shoes, bags, jackets, you name it, I've got a sparkly number in it.

Those bunny ears are perfect and just the thing for work - endearing yet you can still answer the phone. And they're fluffy. The best thing about them is that you keep them in your desk drawer. At work. In case.

You've made my week.

Oh, feck yes!
I see Colin's missus wore an 'eco-friendly and recycled' vintage dress on Oscar night. The fact that it was made from 11 other vintage dresses sort of takes the edge of that. So, I was thinking you on his arm in a sequinned gown of pure vintage fabulousness would be much better..xxxx

How do I keep missing your posts??? There is a rip in the space time continuum... I blame Al Gore and the earthquake!

Keeping bunny ears at your desk 'just in case' is very sensible. Good for you being prepared.

Your eyes are so beautiful!

Where to start?..I just want to thank Vintage Vix for bringing your fabulousness to my attention via her wonderful blogging, and I'd also like to thank Mummy internet for making it all possible, and Daddy electricity for all the work behind the scenes.

YOU ARE GROWING ON ME GAL!!!! What a wonderful tip, bunny ears on desks...just in case! Love it. And seriously considering it.

Helga - buy gold sequinned things. Right now! You totally deserve them and I can think of no-one else who would rock them quite so well.

Would love to see Colin in nothing except some strategically placed sequins though, I must admit.

Helga--your focus on sequins and bunny ears may be just the touch of lightness everyone there needs about now.
