Predominate Blue

We went to friends Darryl & Ira's daughter Spohies 15th birthday party yester evening, and then went on to a cousin's 19th birthday party. It was a bloody good evening, and I managed my sober driver task very well indeed! I'm posing next to Ira, below.

I had somehow missed that it was a crazy hat theme, but managed to hit the nail on the head, with my Queenie tribute hat!

Frock-70's, had it for ages

Hat-vintage, Repertory Theatre sale

Fishnets-can't remember

Shoes-an Asian shop somwhere

I got a bit adventurous with my makeup, wearing some yellow Barry M shimmer powder that darling Vix sent me a while back and blue eyeshadow that turned green when I applied it over the top of the yellow.

D' you think it's too much?!

Today I've been out to see Justine and Baby Rose.

I wore:

Frock/Coat-vintage, opshopped

Handbag-vintage, school fair

Tie thingy-made by moi

I had a jolly good hoon down the motorway.

I like this air hostessy look.

Imagine flying Air Helga.

Somehow I managed to get my hair to look not only fabulous, but really neat!

It was a fluke!

I'll never manage it again!

We've been watching "Kick Ass" whilst G had a roast going.

"Kick Ass" was awesome!!!

It's a rainy Autumn Sunday evening here; after dinner I will probably snuggle into bed with a book. That's pretty much what I like to do best on a Sunday.

Air Helga would be an absolute scream!

I LOVE the first look. The dress, tights, shoes, make-up (not too much - the stripes are great) and that HAT!! I LOVE that HAT! It's amazing...

Have a brilliant day you fabulous woman xx

The eyeshadow looks fab. It's definitely not too much. Love the air hostess look, especially the hair. I'm pretty sure I have that exact same coat, from an op-shop in the back end of nowhere, but it's in purple and white stripes. Is it made of crimplene?

Defintely not too much! You of all people can pull off the loudest of eye make up :)

Love the frock in the party outfit....but your air hostess hair?!! My gosh!!!! Wish I could make something like that with my hair. A tutorial, perhaps? Even if it can never be so perfect again!

Much Love Xoxo

I would love to fly Air Helga! You could ferry all us bloggers around the world to meet each other! These outfits are both fantastic, but I am really really digging the air hostessy one (probably because it rocks to imagine a blogger-only airline run by you!).

Love both outfits especially the air hostess one! I love the coat, it's quite nautical with it's white and blue stripes.

Adoring the up-do in the second outfit pictures, very very neat and posh looking!

The makeup looks great! Very tropical looking! xxx

I don't think it's too much. I think the eye shadow is a huge celebration. I would fly first class Air Helga and steal the cutlery!! And you wouldn't mind, because there's more where that came from. xx

I once had a v-neck dress that was almost identical to the one you're wearing in the top pics. Weirdly it's one of those items that I have no idea of getting rid of but no longer have. Maybe the fairies pinched it? Your hair is fab in the bottom pics and I love the colour xx

What a wonderful hat! Very impressed with the eye shadow too. Slowly, I am becoming convinced that we need to paint our interior walls in colors similar to yours. Great for outfit pics.
