She made me do it !

So.
The divinity that is Vix decided that I would do the Made-Me-March thingy.
I was a little late, but what the hell, I may as well join the party!

I thought I would start off in a very cunning fashion....
This frock I have had for absolutely ages.
It is cunning because:
a) I made it myself, but
b) I also revamped it.....
How?
This frock began life as a skirt and a top that I opshopped years ago.
They sat around for ages, cos I love the print, and eventually I had a brainwave!
YES!!!
I would join them, as one!
HUZZAH!

I pretty much just cut the top as a cropped top, then cut the elastic off the waist of the skirt and sewed them together.
I think I'm pretty fecking clever.

I'm wearing my sweet little safety pants, aka bloomers, which were a gift from Vix .

In addition to that,
Belt-a garage sale
Stockings-opshopped
Shoes-Trade Me
Sunglasses-Sarah
Ta da!!!

I also notice the quote on the side of your page "I love old things.Modern things are so cold.I need things that have lived." -Barbara Hulanicki

Twit Twooooo! I love those cute red bloomers, you should make a oversized red bow with white lace to match them, it would be very lolita! Those shiny purple shoes are so sweet! I really do love that necklace of yours and admire it in every picture! xxx

I found your blog by searching for TADA Helga. (I've been Orneryswife forever, but I am looking to change my image. Helga the Horrible was already taken, but I am wanting to find a Viking helmet and a TADA cape to sport when I have accomplished some great feat--which is pretty often lately!)

Love your blog! When I was little in the 60's I had a pair of safety pants, we called them petti-pants, and they looked exactly like the ones you are wearing! Amazing.
