Welly-wet, windy and wild ( a taster )

Darlings, we've had such a splendid weekend, we need another just to get over it!

Ralph collected us from the airport with couple of bottles of bubbly.

Start as you mean to go on, I say.

Arrival night was cut bit short by my passing out in elegant fashion.

In the morning we took Ralph's car back up to his house in Wadestown, and then we walked back into town.

Seriously thinking about breakfast and shopping to be had.

The wonderful view just down from Ralph's.

I've always liked this art deco apartment block. I could fancy myself leaning over the balcony, cocktail in hand, jazz blaring out of my window, clad in scanties....
I think my current read is influencing me heavily.

I have more photos to share, some are blurry, I can't think why......
I'm very tired from all the drinking, shopping, eating and carousing......

Wellington is such an awesome city, I think it well for me that we don't live there, as I can barely manage a weekend without wanting to collapse into heap!

I did manage a little shopping.....

Hurrah!

Gagging to catch up with all of your weekends too!!!

So much pleasure to be had, so little time......

X

Looks like you had a great time. I love your hair in an updo. Very elegant. I so want to live in that deco apartment then I could drink strawberry gins and wear 30s lounging clothes all day.

Oh love - you look SO BEAUTIFUL! These are some of my fave pics of you ever! The one in the black jacket is divine - I do love you in a pensive mood. And the gorgeous green shades are so beautiful on you. Also I think this fringey side sweep is my fave do on you. Can't wait to see more pics of your gorgeous weekend!

You are wearing a GREEN CHECKED FROCK!!!! And black faux fur. And a green topknot. And carrying TWO bags!!! "Start as you mean to go on" - right on sister! I think I would become a most unwelcome fixture in that fab art deco flat given half a chance - we could drape ourselves over the balcony in our scanties - calling "you whooooo"!! I love Ralph's hair:)) xoxoxoxo

Good to hear that you had fun in Wellington. It was mother's day here in Austria today, and I went to my mum's place to share some time with her.
I only went through Wellington, now I think I should have stayed there for at least a night. Well, next time ;)
By the way, I love that green dress and also the pose in front of the tree.
On Friday, I showed a few travel photos to my friends, amongst them the Christchurch pics we you. They all envied me for having such a great time with you :-))

I love Art Deco buildings, even as a child I used to 'wish I lived in a house like that'.

One day....
