Champers and Midori-or, what I did on our public holiday

O, hello there!

It seemed sort of sensible to get into some bubbly and midori on the Queen's Birthday public holiday.

After all, we were being paid to have a good time.

We've had the bubbly, which Justine gave us, in the fridge for a week or so, and it was just burning to be consumed.
Clearly, I'd had a bit before I put my eye make up on!

I thought I'd show you a few scenes around the dining room....

Hanuman!

The glass in this lantern is broken from the earthquake.

Lanterns from Turkey.

I carried about 7 of them in my carry on!

We were there about 2004? Can't remember now!

Turkey is awesome!

The scales were G's Mama's.

O, here I am in the lavatory!

Back to a more usual colour scheme!

Ha, I'd not long told Max ( my swap partner in Lakota's swap) that I don't do pastels!

And there I was, wearing a soft pastel frock yesterday!

Sorry, love, I guess I lied! But I really normally don't!

Hahaha!
This frock is a total fave, it's one that my beloved Vix sent me!

I always feel fabulous in it!

The tights are from Farmers, probably. Good old Farmers. A department store that I generally only ever really buy tights at!

The shoes are from Trade Me last year.

The two purple rings are from gorgeous Sarah (the big floral one) and darling Kitty !

And the earrings are from the jolly adorable Alex !!

In the evening we watched a Midsomer Murder, a really good, eerie one!

Then I bloody couldn't sleep.

Arse biscuit.

Too much sugar?!

Morning Wow your house is lovely and bright ;-)) I love Turkey to and went may times with my last hubby. He spoke the language and had many friends there we used to go twice a year and higher a jeep and go off. He was a practicing Muslim for 5 years before he met me. The Turkish people are wonderful and always used to make me feel like one of the family. I picked up a few words so could just get about by ;-)i would love to take my boys there one day. I love those lanterns and the colors are so vibrant. God i have gone off on one.....ahhh memories ;-)) Love your dress today you look real cute. I hope you sleep better tonight. dee xx

God, I LOVE that frock on you. Is there a colour you can't wear, you hot minx?
How fabulous does your house look? There's some intruiging volumes piled up there and the toilet system is just genius.
I love Turkey, I first went in 1989 and returned two days after September 11th, when everyone said it was too dangerous to travel, stupid fools, we couldn't have been made more welcome.
Love you!

You look beautiful as ever. I love your turkish lantern, shame it broke, and well done for carrying that many back home,I only bought one as I was told Turkey were very strict about weighing your suitcases and fining. But I totally regret not bringing more back with me. Enjoy your drinks.

Great style and great colors. Looks like a blast.

And now you have my mouth all thirsty for champagne and midori - and not a drop in the house. C'est dommage.
