A New Toy!

There's nothing better than something new and exciting for the kitchen, and something new and exciting I've never made before!!!

A pasta machine!

Don't ask me why, but I adore to try new things and push myself.

In the kitchen, especially!

I may well regret it.

But feck it, it was a Trade Me bargain, and I'm damn well gonna give it a shot!

We have a long weekend (Queens Birthday) coming up, and a girl needs a challenge!
I adore pasta, so let's engorge ourselves!

I'm wearing:

Tights-We Love Colours

Shoes-Hannah's sale

Hairbow-made by my beloved Vix' fair hands!

The pendant is from San Cristobal de las Casas, beading by moi

Earrings-a Palm Springs drug store

I'm watching a program called "Come Dine With Me".

Whilst I like the concept, as I love having dinner parties and frequently "guinea pig" my guests, the nastiness pisses me right off!

But I am embarrassingly compelled to watch it.

And lovingly consider my next food endeavour!!

I'll let you know how I get on.

What do you think it'll be, triumph or tears?!

Oooh I want a pasta machine, let us know how you get on! I love Come Dine With Me, my friend applied recently and got turned down. (I laughed!) xxx

Ooh I'm so jealous, I want a pasta machine! I basically eat pasta for every meal so I feel it would be handy.

Did you end up checking out The Archive? I bought a big pile of little hair bows, one in a print almost identical to your one!

Engorged with pasta - that's the way to be! I've never made my own, too damn lazy, not to mention ham-fisted...
I like Come Dine With Me too, and am quite amazed at how many people go on it who are really fussy eaters. I would make a perfect guest, I eat anything that's put in front of me!
Gorgeous dress/cardi combo today Helga, but I have to say I think the star of the show is Vix's bow - perfect on you!!

I had a job once demonstrating a pasta machine at a trade show, my wrist saw a lot of action during that week, I can tell you!
You look bloody fabulous, that bow survived it's round-the-world trip well.
Come Dine With Me is one of my faves. Was it the Aussie or the Brit version you were watching?
Love you!

Great outfit. I can see a spot on the home shopping channels beckoning with your ace demonstration!

I've watched a few Come Dine With Me episodes - people can be so two-faced and nasty when there's competition involved!

I must admit I love CDWM and am secretly disappointed if they are nice to each other. His Lordship is positively allergic to it and won't come in the room if it is on!

I am tres jealous of your pasta maker. You must show us your fab pasta once made!

Wayhay....homemade pasta!
I only watch come dine with me for the voice over man and I only really enjoy it when the lovely gay guy wins....they usually put a gay guy in to ruffle someone's feather. If you get the brit version look out for when Betty 'Legs' Diamond won it.....fab!xxx

Oooops....sorry I've just given that episode away...but it is bloody obvious from the outset!xxx

I watch CDWM too, it's like car crash TV but I get sucked in!
I have pondered those pasta makers before, I think I would prob just make a massive mess and give up, let us know how you get on with it.

Oh I love Come Dine With Me! I think it's the hilarious bitchyness that keeps me watching it! My favourite one so far was when this guy told the other contestants about him making a placenta pate for his friends during a dinner party he hosted and they all ate it unknowingly!

We want to see your first attempt at pasta making!

The design on that hair bow is just like the design on an old peg bag my mum owned when I was younger!

Love the dress!! Very tiki! xxx

Oooh SHINY! I would very much like to request a food post when you debut the homemade pasta.

Come Dine With Me is utterly brilliant. Are you getting the UK version? There are some truly hilarious episodes.

When I was young I spent every day at my grand parents (my parent's worked full time) so I used to sit and "help" by eating flour and raw pasta..i still love eating the dry egg pasta raw..so much fun though :) good luck!!!

My friend is married to Dave Lamb the guy that does the voiceover on Come Dine With Me. He makes it better I think.

Love your colours and the hair bow is fabulous xx
