We're Gonna Party Like It's 1999

HELLO!

I had this post all scheduled, it's all set to go, but I just needed to pop in and say that we've had a series of really bad aftershocks here today, the worst being 5.5 and 6, we've been sent home to a fecking mess and my baby cats are missing.

I'm really worried about my babies.

We have no water, no power (again); I'm at Justine's popping this little edit in.

I'm having some straight vodka and I am really, really over this!!!

Friends and family, as far as we know, are fine.

Bless!

Re-edit!!

A couple of hours later, I'm home from Justine's, we have power, my babies are back!!!

Pee Pee reeks of dirt, I think she must have been under the house.

I'm going to bed.

Enjoy these pix from the weekend.

Today is Justine's birthday!

We had drinkies at ours for her, as her house is just a little too small.

Pixie came down from Wellington, as did Justine's brother.

How's about my new turban!!!

EEEK!

I'm also wearing my new 70's bling!

The bling and the turban I found in a grotty looking opshop in Woolston, an older part of Christchurch.

With my new bling I have on a gorgeous pendant that my beloved Vix sent me, an a fave glamtastic 70's frock!

Justine's mantilla was a gift from Pixie.

Hot bint!

This is Justine's brother Glenn.

Mad as a hatter and twice the laughs!

With darling James!
He's such a love. He stayed the night and Harvey spent the night with him-ooooer!

O, we need a new name for Harvey, if you have any ideas.

So far we like Patsy and Possum. And El Bucho.

Fecking sexy biatch!!!

G tried to steal Justine's fluffy!

It's quite pimpy on him....mmmm

I love his "Rupert the Bear" ish pants!

They were a gift from a co-worker; they once belonged to her brother, and apparently there was a jacket, but her niece absconded with it.

Treachery!
X

Glad you're ok and that your babies are back. I'm so sick of f**king earthquakes. I suppose we won't be able to use the toilet again for weeks.
On a lighter note, I love your turban and G's trousers.

Poor you guys!!! I don't know how you do it,, my nerves would NOT cope. You must be made from stronger stuff than me.
Glad to hear you're all safe and well. And I hope you haven't lost too many trinkets and treasures.

There is one particularly gorgeous photo of you and your friend.. a close-up. You should get that one blown up and plastered on the wall.

Those trousers of your bloke's are absolutely smashing.
Take care and kia kaha.

So glad to hear you guys are ok, I was only thinking of you last night (Sunday night). Clever Pee-Pee (even if she does smell now) to hide under the house - animals usually know better than us where it's safe.

Great pix, especially loving the turban x

Hope there hasn't been too much damage, and so glad that everyone is safe, including the precious kits, of course.
You are looking mighty fine in your turban, birthday girl Justine and Pixie are equally beautiful, but my favourite photo has to be the dreamy one of you snuggling up to your lovely G - ahhh! makes me believe that romance can last!

V glad to hear you, your folk and your kittehs are OK. Heard about the quakes on the news, was quite worried.

The turban rocks! Superb!

It's the first time I comment on your blog although I read it every day. I like and laugh reading the posts and watching your pix...; but this morning I heard on the Spanish TV about the quake...so "Kie kaha".
I realised that Justine's wearing a "peineta" not a mantilla(a mantilla is the shawl worn over the peineta).
I hope you are ok. Regards from the Antipodes.

Hi Helga, can't believe you are still experiencing after shocks. It's horrible I know and I'm so happy your little fur babies are doing ok. I love the funky vibes your turban is sending out, I can feel it all the way over here! Looks like you all had a fun time and birthday felicitations to Justine...she has an awfully cute brother!

Helga--it is such a relief to know that you and yours are ALL okay. If I had been living in Christchurch the past few months, it would be a steady diet of the hard stuff.

The turban looks beautiful on you.
