Dining Delightfully!

Check out my blue tinsel lashes!

These were a gift from my sweet friend Nicole, who is soon to move to Australia, the cow!

My hairbow is from Nelly, and the top necklace is from Laos, the bottom necklace is from Kensington Markets, London in 1989!

The brooch is an opshop score, and I reckon it's probably 80's.

Jo was first to arrive.

She and are in our pinnies, ready to cook!

Discussing the menu inspiration.

Here's Justine!

A trio of lovelies!

Right, getting down to business!

My bow is getting a little wonky, must be the wine!

Jo opens her favourite bubbly!

As a wine critic.writer by trade, she has exquisite taste!

I just nod and hand over my glass every time she opens something!

My frock!

It's 50's, off Trade Me.

Fits impeccably, only G has to zip me up!!

Hahahahaaaaaaa.

O, pasta, let me sing to you!

've been assured this looks pornagraphic.

I assure you it is not!

This is the last of the bruschetta we had as an entree!

On a plate that G got in Japan.

The topping is chopped grilled artichokes, grilled peppers and 1/2 a kalamata olive.

Hard at work on the 2 fillings for our ravioli.

The fillings were field mushroom/porcini and veal.

Justine supervises!

We served the raviloi with a buttery marcapone/parmesan sauce and a side of braised leeks.

It was heavenly!
I love a dinner party!

I adore the planning, the prep, and cooking with/for others is so much fun!

You ladies look gorgeous, your eyelashes are most fabulous, love the sexy housewife look, and happy to see that pasta machine - and you! - in action.

Good food, good wine, good mates - perfect evening!

PS. What did you do with G? Surely he wasn't banished to await you in the boudoir?

Hello Helga, first post from me but I've been reading your blog for a while now. I love your energy and your commitment to looking awesome every day of your life! I've been prompted to post because of the brooch in picture one. I've got an identical brooch which I acquired (ahem) from my Kiwi mother who had it before she set off for on her big OE in the early 60s so I reckon it must be 1950s at least. Just thought you might be interested.
Carry on the awesome work, I love reading your posts. Caroline
