Ain't got time to take a fast train

I'm rather pleased with my uber Mrs Slocombe-esque hair today.
Posing in the lounge; we currently have the dining table in there, left from Saturday's dinner.
Nice for a change.
You can see G's Nana's rocket lamp in the little alcove, and the plush looking curtains, made by me.
That alcove, incidentally, will eventually be part of the bathroom......eventually.
Feeling really keen to get some renovations underway, but we are stalled until EQC sort us out regarding our earthquake damage.
C'est la vie.

As an aside, really, I'm quite fancying this fabulous circusy head dress on Sarah Sophie Flicker.
I'm sure I could whip something up like this, wearing such a thing on my head would be a splendid way to herald Spring, I feel.
What do you think?!
Love that boys topper, too!
I think I need a pretty bow on my topper, dammit.
Dang, I'm starting to have one of those frenzied brain things when I have soooo many inspirations I get quite frantic and then panic cos I simply can't do it all at once.
Am I the only one to suffer this way?!

My fave rossette brooch that I made a couple of years back, with a button featuring Elizabeth and Margaret as children that I found at a market.

There will be no snow angels!!!
My arse does not need to be that cold!!!

I'm wearing Doc's!

The hair is amazing. How do you get it like that? You should definitely make a hat like that. Sometimes I get quite panic-stricken because there are so many things I get inspired to make and I don't know which one to do first.

Your hair looks great today, and check you out with black hair!I love hats too. Hope the snows going, or if not that youre keeping warm

Ha to snow angels lol and Love you with the black hair!!

Great hair - Mrs S would be jealous I think! Like the brooch, you have such clever ideas. I can empathise with having too many ideas and inspiration at once - then I end up doing nothing!

Meant to say I loved G's platforms in yesterday's pictures x

Wow, you look so different with black hair... And I'm not used to you wearing all that black too. You're so colourful now.

I love odd headwear at the moment, so I think you should make that interesting headpiece.

Check out you with black hair! I didn't think I'd ever see you wearing Docs, but you still looked amazing.

Oh your hair is FANTASTIC - the height is amazing, amor! Your frock is delightful and I would love to see a close up the Elizabeth and Margaret button.

I love that pic of you with black hair - that waistcoat is tres sexy!

I don't blame you - I would not be making snow angels either.

What fabulous hair! How do you do it???
Those white tights are incredibly sexy on you.
Loving G's Nan's rocket lamp, what a groovy chick she must have been.
That hat is awesome, it looks a bit like those papier mache experiments we did at school over a balloon, with added bling, naturally.
Black hair and Doc, I'd recognise you anywahere. You'd deffo have given Souxsie a run for her money back then.
Love you!

You are not alone. Sometimes inspiration can just bombard you like crazy, from all directions! Better than having no inspiration at all - that can be so depressing!! I love your Slocombe hair darling Helga and what a cutie you are in your boobilicious waistcoat circa 1991!! I wish I could just pop over and we could have a sewing/crafting/manicure/hairdo/frocking up frenzy!! Le sigh ... xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

I understand very well what's that kind of inspiration that immediately becomes panic because you can't do everything just now!!
Your rosette is a pretty piece with Real Steampunk vibe!
And your hairdo looks stunning and really High!!

story of my life, I could never sleep with all these ideas in my head, then I dont do anything the next day.
You look hot as a Goth too amor.

That is one seriously tall hair-do! I like your tablecloth and think it would make a great dress, I love paisley, and the rosette is cool, i might have top have a go at making one of those although I might be pushed to find such an amazing button!!!

Whoa, I would never have made the connection between the early 90s pic and Helga today. I do get like you describe--a sort of writer's block that comes from too many ideas rather than too few. I want a topper with a bow.

You should totally make a head dress like that! I would love to see what you come up with. Also your hair looks super fab - thinking of growing my hair out a bit so I can do more interesting styles. Love the white tights - I recently bought a pair of what tights myself, I actually really like them (which surprised me!)

That black hair looks really good on you, but I am a red-hair lover!
