Popped out with Justine last night for an hour or so to the re-opening of Galaxy Records!
The previous premises were lost to the earthquake, and now Dave (the owner) has a spot at The Archive, a new venue/other things on St Asaph St.

It's a small shop, and was very crammed!
There was a cupboard, to the left of this scene,in which a band was playing.
We hung about for a bit, had a chat with a few peeps, I bought a cd (Bongwater "The Power of Pussy") and off we went to the bottle store......

We are apparently expecting another snowstorm on Sunday/Monday!
So supplies were in order, cos there's nothing worse than having nothing to drink in a snowstorm, y'know.
I wore:
Coat-vintage, gift
Frock-vintage, Etsy
Floral lightweight coat-vintage, Vix
Handbag-vintage, Shabby Chic Market
Hat-vintage, Trade Me
Tights & shoes-retail
Earrings-gift from G
Necklace-vintage, oshopped and customised by moi

Looked like a fun/crowded place to be! Do tell us what the cd is like.

I doubt you will notice the snow storm if you get into that drink ha ha!

I am loving the purple tights. Such a pretty color and it looks striking against the black.

The bottle store sounds so much better than 'liquor store'. I'm updating my vocab!

We call them 'offies'. My Kumar runs our local one, I'm pretty sure we're paying for a luxury retirement flat for him the number of times we 'pop in'.

Snowstorm = Vodka. Plus some moody music and a fur hat. Rock it Russian style.

It looks like there's always something fun going on where you are. I am in love with your little hat, it's so cute. Xx

Helga darling, I love this outfit! My email mustn't be working properly, because I've been wondering when I was going to hear about the tote! I might have to organize through you if La Boheme is having trouble contacting me.

Looks like it was a bit crammed in there, altho that will keep the cold weather at bay, all huggled together keeping warm. I hope you don't get too much bad weather, altho you might not notice it if you drink your bottle lol :)

Helga, we always knew you were a girl who could stop traffic! I shall also change my vocab and start calling the liquor store the bottle store. Say HI to Stoli for me and stay warm!

It's so great to see CC turning out on a cold winter's night to celebrate the reopening of such precious gems as record shops - that's the Kiwi spirit! Speaking of spirits, I'll bet you were the hottest babe to step into the bottle shop for voddy and tequila supplies since ... well, the last time you were there!! Grrrrrrr ... that bag! Coat screams "look at me" and I bloody love your tights you gorgeous wench!! xoxoxoxoxoxoxo

Ah, Stoli! That's m'Girl! ;^) I've 2 quart jars full of tart cherries steeping in Stoli (and 1 of black raspberries steeping in Hendrick's Gin) for future tippling. Might have to break out the cherry for my Bday soon...

Glad the venues are being rehabbed/reopened! And Stay Warm and Safe during the Blizzard of OZ. ;^)

It is SO great to hear that little shops are recovering and popping up around Christchurch again! A friend was telling me recently that you pretty much have to ring up and make a booking if you want to go to a cafe even because there are so few around now. Fantastic outfit as per usual, I especially love the dress you have on.

I simply love your style!

I can't believe it! I have that CD too, Bongwater is well different. I love the tights on you as always. The black dress is sexy on you and the lining in that jacket, shiny shine shine.

Everyone in that shop had layers on, it looked cold. Stay warm and cuddle a lot with G if you get snowed in, heck do that anyway.

Cheers XOXO!

You are OWNING the poses in this post. So, what did you come home with from the bottle store...?

Everyone in that shop was really wrapped up and grey looking, weren't they? Thank heavens for your downright fabulousity to injest a bit of colour and fun into the proceedings.
Hope that fecking snow stays away. You'll need more that one bottle of Stolly if you're going to get snowed in. Is that a balloon in the background? Your offie is way more attractive that ours.
LOve you!
