Strangers in the Snow

What is this before me?!
Been here before?!
Why, it's just like yesterday!
Well, G dug the driveway out, on the off chance that we might get to go to work tomorrow.
So I gussied up a bit and has a pose-off with myself.

Had a splendid lie in with the kittehs.
Been watching Inglourious Basterds this afternoon, forgot how awesome it is!
Apart from that, a whole lot of nuthin'.

Frock-vintage, opshopped
Cape-very vintage, a Sydney antique clothing shop in the 80's
Gloves-vintage, opshopped
Hat-vintage, opshopped
And yes, there are warmie things piled underneath!
I'm not that silly!

The Snow Queen herself! I adore you in that checked frock with that gorgeous cape, amor!
Another day off? How very exciting! That snow looks very deep and crisp. I bet those poor kitten's bellies are very icy.
Love you!

You look very lovely in the snow, it sets off the colour of your hair. Time to build a snowman maybe? or better still snow angels, its something I do every year in the snow, takes you right back to your childhood

Looking ravishing amidst that white snow. Bold going out in it, I must say!
Tit freezing cold up here again. For our standards, anyway!

I frickin' love Inglorious Basterds (Cat People perfect scene song!). I do love a cape, and extra points for it being velvet too. xxxx

I was having a nanna moment there, 'Oh Helga, cover your arms in the snow you'll get a chill'. You look gorgeous, well worth a bit of cold on the arms!! :)

I'm slightly worried that I am indeed turning into a nanna of late. I was drinking brandy and dry ginger the other night, and baking. Hmmm.

Dearest Helga,
I read on Yahoo News that this apparently is the "snow dump" of a lifetime in NZ.
It makes me think of of 'Futurama'...
Fry: This snow is beautiful. I'm glad global warming never happened.
Leela: Actually, it did. But thank God nuclear winter cancelled it out.
I think you look like a beautiful heroine straight out of a classic novel today, your long hair is wonderful & those gloves are awesome.
Lot's of love,

Still no snow angels?

I hope you had many pairs of bloomers and tights on underneath that frock! You do look utterly splendid but my chilly self is thinking "BRRRRRRR!" just at the very sight of the snow.

Look at you!! I loove your colours today and your hair is looking hot hot hot against the snow! BABE! The red gloves are prissy but sexy!

I wish it was snowing here, instead of this weird, in-between, sunny-but-freezing weather...

I've thought of a brilliant idea! Since it's 90s where I am and snowing where you are - you should send me all your winter coats and boots when it gets hot there! No sense them just taking up room - I'll put them to good use. By the way, what size boots do you wear???

You have outdone yourself. The red gloves really make the outfit. -T
