In which I ask myself-what would Desiree do?

So.
Here is the musky pink frock in action!
I thought a lot about it, and realised that the question that needed to be asked, was indeed:
What would Desiree do?
Desiree would use leopard print somewhere....all I have is tights and a bangle (from Sarah , as are my vintage Oroton sunnies!)), so on they went.
Desiree would have some kind of fur, so on went a stole I picked up off Trade Me recently for $2:50. (I know!)
Desiree would most certainly have something on her head, so on went a vintage hat I also picked up on Trade Me.
Desiree would throw on some straptaculous shoes, and so did I.
Desiree would then schmooze on up to something big....and hard.....
And so I did.
The ultimate glamour accessory!!!
Oooo, stroke that pipe!
Hot throbbing chrome and 750cc engine....oooooooo

What do you think ladies?
Did I do well under the tutelage of the divine Desiree?!

O, and you ladies know me so well!
I did indeed come home with the blue and silver paisley frock!!!
Can't put anything past you lot!!

Tomorrow I am off to the Shabby Chic Market, which has just started up again.
(Spring/Summer, approx one Sunday a month.)
Only I am going as a seller!
I've never done this before, and am quite nervous.....but it should be a fun day!
Wish me luck!
I'll take lots of pix!

X

Clearly we are psychic twins. When I had think about this frickin' fantastic frock (which I'm drooling over) I immediately thought "leopard print and mad shoes". Hat in a bright colour? Check! And what a flipping hatacular little number it is too - I have hat envy! Fur? YES!!! My god I think this dress need not be dyed - it fits you like a glove and makes your breasteds look like the Wonders of Womanhood that they are! The pleating and bow/sash is incredible!! The light colour shows off those details and the lace. I'm dry-humping that Norton by the way coz you're giving me a massive horn!!!!!! Weeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!! xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

Oh my word - how beautifully does that frock fit!! You looks exquisite AND it has the Desiree Seal of Approval - no greater praise!

In other news, oh deary-me (fans self wildly) - that motorcycle. We had one just like it in red. We'd STILL have it if some scrotes hadn't stolen it. Caress that chrome for me and slap that seat smartly. Ooh matron - it does takes me back to my youth lol!!

I'm glad you opted to try before dye - this dress looks amazing on you, and I even love the colour. I think you truly did Desiree proud. We could all use a little more leopard print in our lives, I think.

I was going to suggest as a solution for the dusky pink: "Send to Lily as she looks awesome in dusky pink!"

But yes, you have done an excellent job with the leopard! The second best solution. I feel there needs to be some leopard in my wardrobe.

That's a really gorgeous dress. J'adore.

PSYCHEDELIC EARLY 90S MAXI DRESS!! CAN'T WAIT!!

You see??? A little dash of style a la Desiree, and that dress is hot hot hot! I always liked the colour anyway, but I think it works brilliantly. And fits to perfection! What did G think? Were you ravishing AND ravished after those stroking the pipe pics??

Bloody hell, how did I miss this? It's Dylan, I tell you, he has me DISCOMBOBULATED!

You look spectacular - and decidely Desiree-esque - and Helga-esque! I LOVE the combo and plan to try it myself soon.

So have you decided to keep the frock as it is? Or still planning to dye it? It fits you beautifully and you look FABULOUS in it - but how did you FEEL?
