Here's some more long weekend pix!
Saturday night we went over to Si and Nix' house to watch the rugby!
Of course, a gal had to dress special-like!
I know, I know, it seems a bit weird that I, Helga, watch rugby....but to be fair, it was the world cup final!
Besides, we did intend to have a jam.....but you can see by my flushed face above that I was in no condition even at that point, to jam......
Let's backtrack slightly...
Earlier, I went over to Justine's for a while, and dear wee Baby Rose was looking so adorable in her romper, sandles and topknot! It was hard to get her to stay still for a pic, she kept running at the camera, but I threatened her with bodily harm, and got my pic!
She is such a treasure; she had a little boyfriend over, and she wouldn't let him play with her toys, and was a little violent about it.....now, I'm not a model Auntie, as you may well be aware, and I fear this behaviour may be partly my fault.
Laughing really doesn't help.
Singing "Rosie Posie pudding and pie, beat the boys and made them cry, when the girls came out to play, she said piss off, you're in my way!" doesn't help either.
Thankfully Justine will keep her on track!
My plans involve turning her into a tap dancing/tutu wearing/nunchucker weilding/kick boxing vixen.
Anyway, she adores me.
She wakes up at 3am, yelling my name, quite regularly!
If that ain't adoration, I don't know what is.
I am the person parents warn their children about, however.
Where was I?!
O yes, I was quite pissed when we got to Si and Nix'.
There's no point in trying to tell you otherwise.
The evidence is clear.
I did, however, manage to make a killer guacamole, and dress myself superbly, as you will have noticed already.
Smoke break for Nix.
The frock was an opshop find, modern, but with a 50's feel.
It was about $4.
I jazzed it up with the tulle trim and ric rac, and Baby Rose was all over it earlier....yelling "pretty! pretty!"
She's a good girl!
The tights were off Trade Me.
(Like E-Bay, for new readers)
My fabulous necklace was from the gorgeous Krista!
I freakin' love it, and she made it with her own fair hands!
I've managed to lose a sparkle off it already, silly moo.
The earrings were from a drug store in Palm Springs.
(DRUG STORE! DRUG STORE! DRUG STORE!)
This handbag was also opshopped, and is 60's vinyl with tapestry.
I think I paid $7 for it, more than I normally would like, but it's so cute!
Ha, I was just commenting earlier on Llara's tapestry shoe post that shoes were the only place I like to see tapestry!
Well, I lied.
But that's it.
O, the other things we did over the weekend was to paint my toenails!
G is an artist!
Barry M orange, and Barry M crackle, both from my beloved Vix!
We won the rugby, as most of you will already know!
Not conclusively, though, but what's one point between friends?!
