So, we met the building site manager and the painter decorator this morning.
The builder dude was not too bad looking, ladies.
Not too bad at all. Hairy legs, though.
Like, really hairy.
Poor bastard is very sympathetic, as he lost his house in the quake.
Now that is bloody hard going.
But he was rather pleasantly pragmatic about it, a quality I admire.
Anyway, we had cleared out the front half of the house, as required....but now we have to have my room emptied by the end of the week!
Well, we have a mission on our hands.
Thankfully I had made a small start and taken some lightweight stuff around to Justines over the weekend.
So I've been knee deep in it this afternoon.
There is so much (fabulous) stuff in there!
But I did find time to visit my darling kittehs, whom I hoped would be a little settled into their temporary home.
(We droppped them off this morning on the way to work)
Pee Pee was doing quite well, but Humpers gave me the most accusatory look I've ever experienced.
So I scarpered before I cried.
Anyway, yesterday afternoon we went to a 70th birthday party!
Cousin Phils Mama's birthday.
And it was at the St Chads hall, scene of the fair we went to just a couple of weeks ago!
These next 5 pix really amuse me, as here I am, draping myself over a bench in a most becoming fashion, and Cousin Phil and G's eldest brother are just standing around, taking no notice whatsoever.
How very dare they?!
Thank goodness for safety pants!
I should perhaps create my own line; "Helga's Huggy Safety Pants"?!
Belt-the splendour in velvet boots that is Vix
Stockings-old growler eaten tights
Shoes-gifted from G!
