There's been a frisky Autumnal wind the last few days....
The mornings are darker......
I'm longing to linger in beddy-bye land longer....
Farking seasonal changes!
Must be why I'm having insane dreams!
I dreamt I was partying up and getting pissed on green cocktails night before last, and then felt tired and hungover all day!
Not to mention dreaming of getting it on with a lizard tongued man (not as exciting as one mught think), white cats being abused, driving stonking great tractor things......

The least I can do is be a glam as possible, I suppose.

Who remembers Laverne and Shirley?!

I always loved how Laverne had a big L on everything!
Ha, it's right on her booboid in this pic!
Maybe I need a big H plastered all over me?!

A Quick Frolic in the Road

Why don't we do it in the road?!*

Oooo,there's a car coming....

Erk, my knickers are stuck around my knees!

Dang, I'll give 'em a flash anyways!

Frock- 70's the loveliest Vanessa

White beads-opshopped
Clip on 60's earrings and brooch-gorgeous Sarah

* A charming little Paul ditty.
Generally I'm not a Paul fan. Not a fan of any of The Beatles personel particularly.
As for their music, I like The White Album, and Sergeant Pepper's....and some of the early songs.
I certainly liked them more when they got over that squeaky clean thing.
Squeaky clean just ain't my bag!

Her Windy Worshipness

Y'know how Friday often ends up as a 2 frock day?!
Well, after a costume change, this is what I was wearing late Friday afternoon!
We decided to go and spend some time with our friends in Loburn, Gill and Wayne, and on the way stopped off for a visit with the scrumptious Vanessa and Warren!

This little church is in between Rangoon and Loburn, and we've often admired it's cuteness, so a photoshoot appeared to be in order.
A storm was starting to blow in, and we had quite a frisky wind!

The Chrystal Palace, site of yesterdays pix, isn't for sale, not that we could afford it!
It does appear to be in use, of what kind of use I have no idea.
It's pretty run down, and I dread to think what kind of earthquake damage it has, but G and I have had frequent chats, since we've lived in the area, about what we could do with such a building and how fabulous it would be to get a hold of it, paint it bright pink and do wonderous things in it!
We were actually at an open home next door-not seriously looking, just being nosey!-and the house we were checking out has rather extreme earthquake damage, and has a question mark over whether it is repairable or going to be a rebuild.
So I really wonder about state of The Chrystal Palace.
You just never know what's around the corner, and I will continue to dream about it!

Lavendula Lunacious Hatius

Sunday calls for a slightly loony hat.
It makes perfect sense!

I yearn to be able to buy this hideous building and turn it into a music/arts's in the street behind our house and has so much potential!!!

Hope y'all have been having glorious weekends....I've been ever so lazy and haven't done a single useful thing!
Unless you count the dishes.

Just Frock it Good

As I write this post, I am admiring James May in fabulous retro golfing gear....
( flutter! )
It's Friday afternoon, and frock yeah, my working week is done.

Frock-50's, Trade Me
Headpiece-darling Vanessa
Tights-Love to Dance
Handbag-60's vinyl (ever so thick!), opshopped
Belt-garage sale
Earrings-gift from my lovely friend Nicole
Chain necklace-hippie delish Vix
Blue beads-opshopped
Large necklace-Shabby Chic Market

Please note; James May does not make me flutter as much as Mr Darcy does, but he does give me such a delightful Mummy kind of flutter; I just want to look after him.
Whereas Mr Darcy gives me the kind of flutter that makes me want to ravage him to within an inch of his life whilst screeching Mr Darcy!, Mr Darcy! over and over as I thrash in a Showgirls pool scene kinda way........

I actually love Showgirls.
I reckon it's a film Russ Meyer would love to have made, only the bazookas would be much, much bigger and the acting waaaay better!

Once was a wall

These pix are ones from December that I didn't get around to posting!
This wall is all gone and tidied up now, it just requires plaster and paint and then we can get carpet down!

It was obviously a day after a bit of a boozey session, I'm having a virtuous beverage.
My 50's frock is from my local vintage shop, Madame Butterfly's!
I haven't been there in ages!

Having an afternoon nap with the pookies.
I'd definetly had a hard night the previous night!!!
Just look at their little faces!!!

Feeling the Lurve

Surprised /excited face

Sweethearts  Melanie and Rae have gone and awarded me

Thanks, ladies!!!

The rules are:
  • Add the button to your blog
  • Thank the blogger who awarded you
  • Mention 7 random things about you
  • List the rules
  • Pass the award on to 15 amazing blogs
  • Inform each of them  by leaving a comment
Ooo, so I have tried to think of 7 random things you may not know about me, although I think I've probably shared more than enough about myself during my blogging time!!

1: I am fascinated by the worlds religions, but subscribe to none.

2: I am addicted to chilli

3: I was once (briefly) married in black

4: I did not drink alcohol until I was 22 (I've made up for lost time!)

5: I loathe stuffed animals; they make me feel a bit violent and I have been known to punch them

6: Otters (real ones) make my eyes water cos they are so frigging cute!

7: I really can't stand rules

And in addition to that, darling
Sue has tagged me with a Randomness 11 tag!!
Thanks baby!
The rules for this are:

1. Post these rules.
2. Post 11 random things about yourself.
3. Answer the questions set for you in your tagger's post.
4. Create 11 new questions for the bloggers YOU tag to answer.
5. Tell the bloggers you've tagged that they're it.
6. Oh, and no stuff in the tagging section about "you're tagged if reading this".

So here's another 11 random things about me......

1: I never mix my drinks; the mere thought of doing so gives me an instant hangover

2: I loved Neil Gaimans "American Gods" so much, I started reading it again as soon as I finished it

3: I'm good at spelling but shit at maths!

4: My favourite icecream flavour is mango, if I can get it.

5: I find it almost impossible to forgive, and certainly never forget

6: I do not understand why it is so important to some people that I think, act, feel and do like they do

7: I love a good Thomas Hardy type tragedy, sobbing in ecstasy is quite pleasureable!

8: On Top Gear, I fancy James May, not the more popular Richmond Hammond

9: I once wet myself whilst "singing" Bohemian Rhapsody with Justine at kareoke (I was laughing too much to sing, all I could do was one "mama... ooooooOOO" whilst huddled in a shaking ball)

10: I started learning to drive at the ripe old age of 42.
I frigging love it, but don't fret over why it took me so long. What matters is that I am doing it now!

11: You couldn't pay me to go to space

And now to answer the questions Sue set for me!

1) What was the name of your first love?
Brian Harris.
2) What was the first car you owned?

A Honda Civic
3) Who is your favourite TV character?

Mrs Slocombe from Are You Being Served...or maybe Mildred Roper....or maybe Patsy Stone.......hmmmmmmmm, difficult to choose just one!
4) How did you meet your partner?
We worked together! I liked the look of his arse, he liked the look of my booboids, and that was that!
5) What pisses you off the most?
What doesn't?! Ha, um, probably the dangerous combination of arrogance and ignorance
6) If you weren't living where you are now, where would you live and why?
Maybe Reefton, a small town on the West Coast, cos I've always liked it and it's small and quiet. Just like me. Ha!
7) What's your favourite drink?
Water (Really!)
8) Confess something naughty!
I am a member of the Mile High Club
9) If you could be reincarnated, who would you be and why?
A more patient, undestanding, compassionate version of myself!
10) What skill would you like to learn?
To speak another language, either French, Spanish or Italian
11) If this was your last day on the planet, how would you spend it?
Frocked up and drinking myself to oblivion with G

8) Any phobias?
9) City you would most like to visit?
10) How many siblings do you have?
11) What is your favourite swear word?

As this is rather convoluted and exhausting,
I will pass the Versatile Blogger Award/tag to just these peeps:

Mary Lou
Mrs Allnut!

The Baby Eating Bishop of Bath and Wells has nothing to do with this post

We went out for a family lunch today at a Chinese restaurant.
Quite the civilised thing to do on a Sunday afternoon!

These are my fabulous new 70's sunglasses I got whilst we were in Australia!
So glamourous!

Behind us is The Theosophy Society building, which appears to be munted from the earthquakes.
Poo! It's got a Georgian flavour that I quite like.
O well.

G is wearing:
Jacket-gift from Sarah
Top-60's, opshopped
Sex appeal-all his own!

G has been working like demon spawn in the band room, ripping out all the lathe and plaster in a rather manly fashion!
It's a big job!
The intention is to make this room as sound proof as possible.
Of course I had to prance around in there a bit before we went out!

We rolled home feeling rather stuffed and then prostrated ourselves on the couch with the cats to watch Blackadder repeats.
Generally I find Chinese food rather appalling in Christchurch, but this is the second Chinese restaurant we've been to in the last year or so that has been really good.
Things are looking up!

Don't ask me, I don't know what this is about!

In the taxi van....
At the Dux....

It was a night when a lot of familiar faces were out, the music was great, a lot of wine and beer was drunk, and bed was wonderful to fall into!

O, the lovely Op Shop Mama is going to take that mirror off my hands and save us all from the dreaded cocksifixion!!!
