Gorilla Dining

Last night I went out for dinner with our friend Jo, whom I hadn't seen since last year!
Figured I ought to frock up nicely for the occasion!
We met up at Gorilla, a new restaurant in the suburb of Ferrymead, and proceeded to have a rather pleasant meal followed by the most delicous (shared!) dessert!

Frock-made by moi
(Stuffing my booboids into it is a little like stuffing a sausage!
Thankfully G was more than happy to help!)
Lurex (squee!) Jacket-Rangoon Musical Society sale
Headpiece-made by the loving hands of my friend Claire
Pendant-Hannah 's giveaway last year
Belt-the fabulous Sue
Handbag-darling Brian
Lurex fishnets-We Love Colors
Silver Prancing Shoes-the sexacious Desiree
Have you seen her giveaway video?!
Mary, Jaysus and ALL the Saints!
I'm straight-really-but she's making me sweat!

Tacos and some sort of salted caramel souflle!!

Now, I will be showing you the goodies I bought home from  Australia, mostly as I wear them!
I found some splendid things, and was also spolit rotten by my Sarah !
(And quite rightly so!)

PS! I just noticed this afternoon that word verification is even more tedious than ever! If you have it, please consider getting rid of it!
If you don't allow anonymous comments, you will have no spam nor nasties! Really!
I haven't had word verification for years, and have had no problems.
If you really must, have it set that you must approve comments!
It's difficult, when you follow and like to comment on lots blogs, as I and many others do, to have to spend the time mucking around with this!!!

That blue dress is a superb make! Genius.

Pairing it with silver is a classic take, but of course with a daring Helga twist. I would expect no less, of course! Mwa! Perfection.

One of the first things Sarah said to me when I started blogging was TURN WORD VERIFICATION OFF! She was very clear on the matter, so I did what I was told, as I always do... with no ill effects.
Now YOU look as delicious as your dinner. I am in awe of your dress making skills (and of G's booboid-handling skills too, though that's a WHOLE other story!) Gorgeous blue lace, lovely lurex, fabulous headpiece, twinkly fishnets and shoes -yes yes yes please! And Jo always looks wonderfully stylish, of course. xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

You know what I really want--some fishnet stockings. Seriously. I've been craving them for years ever since the brother-in-law's ex girlfriend jazzed up her boring brown outfit with some. Covet, covet, covet.

Looking forward to seeing what you bought when you were out with Sarah!

Oh I always like a bit of lurex and how wonderful it looks with your lacey dress. Sublime. I've been meaning to turn word verification off for some time as I hate doing that on other blogs, but have never got round to it. Will get my act together and do it pronto. Thanks for reminding me! xx

Aren't both of you ladies looking delicious! I love the ear rings and necklace my sweet Helga and the shimmer shimmer of your sweet jacket. The food looks almost as scrumptious as you two.

Vix said...

You know I love a bit of lurex, especially with you inside it!! How glorious is that jacket (and your booboids, obviously)
That dinner looks drool-some but not as delicious as you and Jo.
I've missed Desiree prancing? I'm right over there!

Love, love, love the dress! It suits you perfectly, and I think anyone in their right mind wouldn't complain about helping you fit your booboids into it!

I am a reformed word verification-er! I used to use it, but now I hate it with a passion. Half the time I can't read what the bloody word says & I get it wrong anyway!

Thank you for calling bullsh*t on the VM! I agree!

Yes, well, what the hell happened to this word verification thing? :( I'm glad I read this on your blog, I have changed my settings immediately. It's so annoying, what were they thinking? I have to press refresh all the time because I can't read the damn words... Thanks for warning us! :)
