A View from the 60's

I use Picasa to sharpen and lighten up my pix.
It's simple, which is great, as I am no techological genius!
Anyway, it's just been updated, and I have all sorts of groovy new effects to try!
I got most excited at being able to make these pix look like they are straight out of the 60's!
Which, in fact, I am!
Ah, the simple joys in life!

Frock-a 10cent score from an opshop!
Coat-60's, opshopped
Scarf ring-60's, opshopped
Tights-Syney markets
Sunglasses-vintage Orotons, from the gorgeous Sarah
Hairbow-made by moi out of a scrap of opshopped crimplene
Earrings-birthday gift from G

I am rather looking forward to trying out some of the other effects!

O, a couple of you said recently that you like Allison Krauss; I just heard a song of hers (Paper Planes) and loved it! Lovely guitar picking, lovely voice.
I always enjoy discovering new and varied music!

Looking good lady! Picassa is definitely a whole lot of fun and not nearly as complicated as Photoshop. The only thing I have found is that it goes very slowly on my computer for some reason and I get impatient.

Love the effects! I hardly ever edit my pics because I'm lazy. I normally use picnic but it's closing down! Great outfit. xxxx

10c op shop dress! Love that!
I use Picnik.. but I'll have to switch to picasa after picnik closes. I just mainly like to curve the corners.

Wow, that is a cool dress and I love the combo of the blue tights and red boots. You look awesome. I have a special feature on my camera which makes the colours look bright. As for changing the shapes of the photos, its all a mystery to me. I like Alison Krauss too.

Picasa rocks and so do you! I love your Crimplene, polka dot fabulousness and those divine stripper boots and those sexy blue tights.
Didn't Ms Krauss do something with Robert Plant?
Love you!

Helgalicious! So good to hear from you. I like your fancy effects. Even the grass looks cooler. I'm beginning to think of red, white, and blue as your thing. I'll think of u when I wear the colors.

Love it. Funnily enough, yesterday I spent an age 70s-ifying some of my snaps with Pixlr!! Haha, I'm a sucker for effects, even back in the day I'd add captions and stickers to my old-skool paper photos.

These photos are great. The colours really pop. I love the colour of your tights against the contrast with the boots.

I'm using Piknik at the moment but will have to switch to Picassa when it closes. My favourite effect is the one called 60's! x

I really like Alison Kraus' ethereal voice. I thought your outfits always "popped" and hadn't realized you hadn't been adjusting the lighting. Your looks will be even more amazing now.
