Toi Toi much!

In Australia, when I was a kid, we called these "kangaroo tails", but in New Zealand they are called "toi toi'.
I love 'em, and I love saying toi toi!
This clump is on our way home from work, and the sun was shining so beautifully upon them one afternoon last week, we just had to stop for an impromptu photoshoot!
Actually, the sun has been shining almost non-stop since!
Makes me suspicious for what's around the corner.....

My glorious 70's does 50's frock is from Two Squirrels

Black beads-60's, opshopped

I reckon these pix compliment yesterdays rather well!
I seem to be having a bit of a nature affair lately.
It must be the bonus of extra sunshine!
Next thing you know, I'll be prancing around naked in the undergrowth, with feathers in my hair and mud smeared from asshole to breakfast time.....
Just warning y'all!
Bahahahahaaaaaa!

Arsehole to breakfast time? Someone else who uses that expression! Yay!
Can't wait for THAT photo shoot...
Meanwhile - back to this one. You look almost camouflaged there among the vegetation but I can see ya, nothing can disguse the glory of Helga! Gorgeous frock and tights and VERY well-behaved hair.
That grass - is it a grass? - is enormous! Since you are a force of nature, it's only fitting that you should frolic around in it, right?! xxxxxxxxxx

That frock is indeed glorious. I much prefer toi toi to kangaroo tails. These nature pictures are fabulous. I like the way your tights blend in with the greenery.

Yay for the Sunshine. Those are some tall "kangaroo tails." I think in the U.S., they are called Pompous Grass. I've had some in a large vase in my home for like 2 years, and they still look good. anyway, they totally match your lovely outfit. I love the color of your tights, dearest.

Your Toi Toi looks very much like our Pampas Grass and I guess you've heard about that ? No ??? I'll enlighten those that haven't.

**A widespread urban myth is that pampas grass is used by swingers to advertise their presence to other swingers in the area. The most commonly repeated version states that in the UK and Ireland a patch of pampas grass is planted somewhere in the front garden to act as a signal to passersby that swingers live in the home**

Just beware when you're prancing naked in the undergrowth!

Helga! Your dress matches the colours of the beautiful foliage! You live in such a gorgeous place, you lucky woman--why wouldn't you take your fabulous self outdoors for a love affair with nature photo shoot?

lol Pampas Grass lol

oh dearie - it was quite the decorative feature back in the 1970s (a couple of dusty stems in a tall 'rustic' ceramic vase) but I'd never heard about the naughty swingers thing and I doubt the homes I'd seen it in had either lol!!

Bwa-ha-ha! I love your post title, Toi Toi Much! You are a vision standing so regally amongst the towering toi toi. I must get one and corral an innocent into fanning me with it. You look beautiful in your 70s does 50s frock.

You have some beautiful dresses from Two Squirrels. I love the colour of your tights. Tights are so hard to get in interesting colours and there's just no reason for it! x

Pampas grass, we call it here! Rather 70s retro garden-wise (which is NO bad thing in my books). I adore your hair bow, so queenly and sophisticated!

We called it pampas grass when I was little - and I always wanted some but Mum said it was a weed.

I adore these gorgeous pics - the blue sky, your beautiful face, that FABULOUS frock, the lovely toi toi (I love saying it too). I would pay GOOD MONEY to see you naked rolling in mud, you bloody hippy!!

Love you more than toi toi, Sarah xxx
