First off from the gate

Ah, Autumns crunchy leaves and lovely light!
Behind me was the original driveway to Avebury House
These pix are from a week or so ago, when Autumn was pretty and crunchy it's bloody miserable and cold and I'm grumpy!

Every year when Winter comes around it takes me a while to adjust.
I really just want to hibernate with my two furry hot water bottles.
It seems the most sensible thing to do; bears do it, why o why can't I?!

I did at least receive a lovely compliment this morning; the cleaner at work told a co-worker friend,Stacey, that I was
 "magic, a visual delight"
How freaking awesome is that?!
Thanks, Roy!

Whilst that picked me up quite a bit this morning, I am still a little disapointed about the impending doom that is Winter......I will have to live vicariously through you Northen Hemisphere wenches for the next few months, and commiserate with my fellow Southern Hemisphere wenches, although I do at least get a 5 week break from it......
O, yes, I don't think I've mentioned it properly, if at all in fact, but G and I are going the States for 5 weeks on the 8th June!

And, I will get to meet a couple, possibly 3 of my fave blogging biatches!
Krista (eeek!), Mazzy (EEEK!) (he's fiddling with his blog, currently, so I can't link) and hopefully, fingers crossed, The Citizen herself,  Bella!!!

I'm getting stressed about packing.....WTF am I going to wear?!

A visual delight actually describes you quite perfectly! What a awesome compliment to get.

Autumn is my favorite season. But since we had it not too long ago I am happy to enjoy it through your photos. After all... the flowers are just starting to pop up here.

A magical, visual delight of fabulosity and amazaballs! What a darling compliment - thanks Roy!

You look just SPLENDIDLY MARVELLOUS in this killer ensemble, mi amor - I love the Mrs Slocomb-ness of the pinnie/frock/blouse/scarf. And what a beautiful location. It's getting awfully revoltingly cold here too and I'm quite grumpy about it - I might stow away in your trunk when you pop over to see Krista and Mazzy and Bella - OH MY!

Love you more than crunchy leaves, Sarah xxx

Roy is just saying it as it is. Down at Avebury House I hope you've packed your riding britches and brought a crop with you. Now the question is - what are you going to ride?!... Hm. You look smart and lovely in this lovely polka-dotted wonder and pinafore.

Have you warned the US that you are coming? They shall surely need to know, on a national level, that such fabulousness is about to hit their shores?

That is such a wonderful outfit xxx
I hope you have fun on your trip.

WHAT???!!! You're not visiting me? Well I guess I will have to just pout and cry all over your fotos...and you are looking very Mrs. S. in all these fotos!

You look a vision in polka dots. You really would have something to complain about if you lived in drizzly UK. We get about 2 weeks of sunshine and then rain combined with oppresive sticky heat until about November! I can't believe you're leaving us for 5 weeks! I hope you'll be able to post your usual delights from wherever you end up xx

Oh god I'm so jealous of you going to the States for so long, Iam green, green I tell you. Oh and it's bloody cold wet and miserable here if that makes you feel any better?

Roy got it spot on. Don't you just love a compliment from an unexpected source?
You are indeed a visual delight, as always. A polka dotty, magnificently be-booboided magical treat!
You and G will have such a good time in the States, how wonderful. So stop being grumpy and start planning your packing! DON'T get stressed about it - you can always go shopping while you're there! xxxxxx

I can't believe your trip is just a month away and you get to meet Krista and Bella too....eeekkkkk!
Can't wait to catch up! Love you!

I do love those sunny autumn days, I feel sad for you that it has changed into that miserable weather! Where I live, it's currently spring but lately it has been miserable too: rain, cloudy,... But knowing this crazy climate, it will probably change very soon! Oh lucky you, I loved visiting the USA. Good luck with your packing! (stress!!) :)

Where will you be visiting in the States? If you're coming to California, I'd love to meet up. Sorry about Winter. I bloody hate it too! Loving the polka dot combo on you. You look as youthful as ever.

You are indeed a visual delight, Helga! You are my virtual CRACK. Yes, it's odd that you're moving toward winter, and things are getting slightly less shitty, weather-wise here. I HATE winter too. Too cold, too grey, too depressing. But maybe your winters don't get as cold as ours do? Must google and find out...

A visual delight, I would agree :)

It is a bit warm so far for spring here, in the Carolinas :)

IM sure during mid summer, and your mid winter, we likely will be saying almost the same things, hurry up and get warm/cold :)

Sending you a big welcome for when you arrive this way.

Sorry 'bout your winter blues..I get them, too. It helps me when I think of some of the fab coats/sweaters/pieces I can layer..makes it a wee bit easier to muddle through..I can't wait to see what you have in store. :D Sending so much cosmic goodness your way to help lift your beautiful spirits.

I adore this ensemble. Adorable and sexy! XO

Then, more calmly, I'm going to head into Portlandia, and see you again like a proper groupie (I'll be screaming and crying like a Beatles' teenaged girl) and hopefully get to meet Krista too. So excited!
