Come to sparkle the dark up

That snow they reckoned might come down to low levels?!
Yep.
It did.

Unfortunately, not until about 7:30 am, when we had already been at work for half an hour.
At about 11:30 am, the big boss decided to send everyone home.....
And we got rear ended on the way!
Bugger.

We're fine, our tow bar pretty much embedded itself in the perpetrators front bumper!

Hurrah!

O well, we warmed ourselves up with banditos (tequila/kahlua), watched Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil to help get us in a Southern kinda mood, and then pranced about in the snow for a bit taking photos.
As you do.

Early 70's frock- lovely Kitty
Faux fur 60's stole-hot arse Sarah
Faux fur 60's hat-opshopped
Earrings-darling Sue
Necklace-sweetheart Louise

Now, G is thrilled to bits that many of you share his excitement about the mermaids!
He doesn't feel quite like the dirty perv I was perhaps painting him as....
However, he did say that he wished there were schoolgirl mermaids........

And he says "it's not a show, they're a bar snack!"

Well, if it HAS to snow, and you have to get rear-ended (and not in a good way), at least you got sent home early and went outside to take breathtakingly gorgeous photos!
You are snowy and regal and fairy- tale beautiful. The pink frock and the fur and your gorgeous hair are just too glamorous for words.
You do indeed sparkle the dark up and you are magic again!
PS. About G's mermaid love. It's fine. But schoolgirls... hmm, it's all going a bit "Hit me baby, one more time" now!. Pigtails AND fishtails. Whatever floats his boat! xxxxx

How spellbindingly fantastical. The hair looks incredible, the snow looks luminous. Your face is so expressive, don't EVER have Botox.
Snowdays are only proper snow days if you don't have to go to work, but it does sound like you made the most of the impromptu snow-in.
What on EARTH is there to like about Mermaids? They've always given me the creeps. As a child, I asked "where does all the poo and wee go?"
It was such a relief to hear they don't exist. I had horrible imgages of how they'd manage to sit for a haircut, and stuff like that!

Keep up the good work with these poses, they are such a treat.

You look so ethereal in the snow. Shame you were rear-ended over it.

Only you could look so beautiful, in the snow. I had 4 layers on and my Peruvian earmuff hat . That's the hat I wear when gardening in the winter, but also the hat which Baz has said I should never appear in public in.Good thing I don't take any notice of his clothing advice. Roll on tomorrow, and we might all be rocking and rolling on those frozen roads. Take care.

these might be among your most beautiful pictures yet, Helga. That shade of pink is freaking fabulous. I will have to remember your Banditos drink on some of those completely intolerable Canadian winter days. Until then, I'll leave the slushy snow to you, because I'm finally sitting around with bare feet these days.
