Beneath a valentine, I see a locket is shining

Just a little touch of the old Goth in me....I must be feeling the effects of the Halloween excitement in the blogosphere...although it doesn't really take much to make me feel like some heavy black eyemakeup, I must admit!

Frock-retail sale years ago
Waistcoat-Trade Me
Vintage cape-the sweetest Squirrel
Boots-Trade Me
Handbag-60's, opshopped
Hairflowers-not too sure, I think a couple were gifts
Necklace-New Orleans
Earrings-opshopped
Cuffs-one at least is from our Vix, not sure about the other!

Have you noticed I rarely wear bangles, or bracelets?
I love them, but they tend to annoy me for some reason.
So it's just for special-like that I get them out!

You look gorgeous in these colors, but I also have to admit that I was often sidetracked on the darling photos of your kitty friends. The names are hysterical. Our corgi/cattle herder mix is named:

Ooh, you look as though you are off to solve a supernatural mystery while encountering a dashingly sinister villain for whom your magnificent bosom will heave... here I go fantasising about you again, Helga, I can't seem to help myself!
Your smoky Goth eyes are fabulous, you still got a way with the black eye makeup! And I do love that cameo necklace.
And cleavage is always welcome, whether it's Halloween or not, phooaarr! xxxxxx

You know that I love your colour genius more than everything else, but when you are wearing darker shades, I'm more focused on your beauty: you are stunning! The make up close up is my favourite!I'm really excited about Halloween too and I adore your tribute, I don't know if you are a sexy mysterious victim like the Black Dhalia or a serial killer, but I love everything:the lace, the little vest, the cape, the bag and the amazing lace-up boots!!
Love xxxx

Omg! How gorgeous do you look, like a sexy Victorian wench. Beautiful, and vampish! You're definitely rocking the look. I adore that necklace, it's stunning. I rarely wear bangles either, not because they annoy me, more because I often forget to put them on. Xx

Oh, you look incredible, like a film star from another era! Your make-up is exquisite and of course the booboids and cape are sublime. Bangles ahoy, I feel naked (and far too quiet) without mine!
What is Wilding Park? It sounds rather romantic. History lesson, please!
Love you!

This look like old timey photo from a silent movie, love them all! Your eye makeup looks very gothically delicious and your beautiful boobs the always appreciated distraction! I love these boots and your cape of mischief. You have me star struck baby!

You know whats funny if I wear bangles they will always end up in my purse because they annoy me after a bit. Vix was wearing hers a 9am , jig jaggling around :)

Hi Helga, Thanks for your comment on my blog. I was indeed lucky to meet Vix. She has inspired me in so many ways. I've actually been lurking on your blog for the better part of a year. I was telling Vix tonight that I need to take a lesson from you in the sex appeal department :)

Yes Ms Helga, we are both into British motorcycles and particularly cafe racers. We both ride, but not often enough. I think I need to post some pics. ;)

Great photo set and what a divine cape! This whole post makes me happy!

Lucy Nation said...

Hell yeah! I am loving checking out the gothed up blogging girls lately. This is one of my favourite outfits of yours ever. You can always tell a true goth even when they wear neon pink but this outfit just seems so you! I love absolutely everything about it. Simple as that. The dress, the cape, the boots (oh.my.word - the boots!!) and the decolletage of course (you saucy madam)! More of this type of thing would be mighty obliging of you!

PS. Everytime you use an AAE or goth lyric you can be sure I am sending you a virtual nod and a wink.

xxxxx

Lucy Nation said...

Btw, when I say more of this type of thing, I mean the fabulously gothic outfit and makeup, not the decolletage. But you know, whatever takes your fancy! ;)
