I don't give a damn about my reputation

So, I have this small collection of So Obviously Rex handbags.....
I have been wanting a red one for the longest time, but the only time I have seen one, it was far too damaged to be worth buying. Especially for the price on it!
Imagine my surprise when I found one stashed amongst my modest collection last night!
Wolver G, the little sod, had found a red Rex at Retropolitan last Friday, and thought he'd surprise me by hiding it in my room, expecting me to spot it pretty quickly.
I'm not known for being terribly observant, and it wasn't until last night, after some prodding in the right direction, that I spotted it!
I SQUEEEE'd with delight, and not a little confusion!

It's just divoon!
I love the saggy red vinyl!
The interior is perfection.......
So of course I had to take it out with me when we went to have some professional band pix done last night!

These aren't them, though!
I was too embarrassed to take out my little snappy in front of a professional, so we quickly took these after he was finished with us.

Right, sprinting off to get ready for G's gig tonight with The Provs!

And tell you about Phaedra-A Wedding, Part 2

And so the afternoon stretched into the evening, and the booze flowed....enough said!

Partners in crime Dave K and Mikel.....

Some Velvet Morning-A Wedding, part 1

Our long time friends Gillian and Wayne got married yesterday!
The theme was Country and Western, and it was splendid to see it embraced by one and all.
We had a hootenany of a good time!

They live out in the country, and the whole farm was done up to the nines.
This dear old truck was part of the property when Gill originally bought the place 12 or so years ago, and we've always been blithering about using it for a little photoshoot......

I wore:
Frock-70's squaredance frock, from Retropolitan
Crinoline-Etc Vintage
50's/60's cocktail headpiece-Wildfell Hall Vintage
Boots-retail, about 20 years ago
Sunglasses-Wasteland, San Francisco
So Obviously Rex handbag-gift from the sweetest Squirrel
Necklaces-San Francisco, London/Nevada (the cameo was from London and the setting was from Nevada) and a market
Earrings-Selcuk, Turkey

G wore:
Replica top hat-a Retropolitan sale
Vintage waistcoat-opshopped, I think
60's dinner shirt-opshopped
Pants-made by moi
70's Belt-I think this was a gift?!
Sunglasses-no idea

The car was featured in Gillian's film Snakeskin .
We had a riot taking drunken pix in it later.
Gill went for a Steampunk cowgirl theme, and looked spectacular!

I helped dress the tables, so of course absconded with this darling burro for our table....I really, really want to steal it......!!!
Gill's had it for years.
Goes well with her general obsession with all things Western!

Catching a quick snog with our Ralph.....

The festivities got rather rampant, satrting with the shot of tequila that was part of the deal for my signing the wedding papers as one of the witnesses...and it all went downhill from there......to be continued!

I wanna be sedated

Wolver G, Cousin Phil, Mikel and I are currently jamming on a hopeful new project.
(We're calling ourselves Flange)
I am going to be picking up our Ralph from the airport later, so I am stone cold sober.
It's just not as much fun jamming without a few slugs of vodka.

You can tell I took these with the self timer mostly because G hasn't told me to life my chin up!

Frock-the beautiful Lucy
Shoes-a school fair
Vintage nurses cape
60's vanity case-opshopped
Bow-darling Tamera
Pendant-70's, a garage sale
Beads-gift from G

Jamming is a great way to spend a Friday afternoon, I must say.
Even if I am a bit on the sober side.
Break over, back to it!
Happy Friday, darlings!
