Just step on up to the edge and move on, yeah

I totally made G hold up the cars behind us when we were leaving a supermarket carpark in Greymouth to stick the camera out the window and take a pic of this utterly divoon little lilac and lemon house!
Ahem.

Welcome to Punakaiki!

And then the sun came out!
I had thought, when we got up, that the West Coast was going to live up to it's reputation of rain, rain, rain.......but no!
The sun turned it on, and it was a glorious day!
We picked up a young German lad at the hostel, as you do, and we gave him a lift to Punakaiki ( I can't even begin how to tell you how it's pronounced!).
We may have scared him a little, but it wasn't so bad.
We'll see if he gets in touch when he makes it over to Christchurch......

He was kind enough to take a pic of us being all touristy.
Do forgive the unstylish sunglasses.....the scenery is so gorgeous, I simply had to have my specs on, and as I don't deal well with bright light, I also had to have the cumbersome  "over glasses sunglasses" on......

We had a splendid brunch at a rather pleasant pub.
Corn fritter stack for me, above....

...and classic Kiwi fish 'n' chups for G....
(no, really, that's how Kiwi's say chips)

And then I had to play with the horses outside......

At least I do look frightfully intellectual with my specs on!

Neigh!

And then we did the little walk over the world famous pancake rocks.

She's over there!

Maybe I can see her delicious curves, if I look long and hard enough......

Maybe not!
But just look how adorable the pancake rocks are!
See?!
All layered like pancakes!

More to come, but admittedly, any gig pix are pretty hazy....

You are frickin DIVINELY intellectual AND sexacious in your splendid ensemble! I especially ADORE the pic looking up your dress as you walk up the stairs - remind me to walk behind you more often! Your birthday shoes are amazing. As are YOU.

The unpronouncable place looks amazing - thanks for the tour... and hello, I think lemon and lilac might be the next colours for The Shack!

Love you more than ANYTHING!

What a fab location! Looks like you are having a grand old time. I visited Wahiki island many years ago and one of my favourite memories is eating fish and chips on the beach there. Love the green tights and your cute little mini dress!

LOL - if there is a model horse, you HAVE to pretend to ride it. It's international law or something.

In my home town, we have the famous 'Ealing Horse' - he even has his own FB page! Everyone in Ealing's climbed up on him I think!

I have to say, your gorgeous pictures of the sea are making me so envious. Definitely in need of some seaside right now. I can't deal with bright light either, it gives me migraine. Love all the green in your ensemble. Xx

I love everything about your weekend away, it looks heavenly. The sunshine, the lazy bottle of wine, the little yellow and lilac house, everything. I've never been to NZ, but would love to because the scenery is sooo spectacular.

I like the sneeky pic G took of you from behind. :) Lovely angle, your legs look about six feet long. Plus you look a born horsewoman on that big fella.

I have to giggle about your little German tourist and waving to Sarah. You do make things fun! xxxx

Oh yes, more pics up your skirt please, G knows what we like! I love the photos of you against the beautiful blue sky, the green/blue stripes of your dress match the sky and the vegetation most beautifully. And your hair looks freshly hennaed and shiny and vibrant and sexy!
Those rocks are fab. So are your Tally-Ho pics on the horse. And that poor German boy will be in shock from the delight of meeting you and G, but he will get over it!
I see Sarah waving! xxxxxxxxxx

You are looking extra beautiful with this sublime beach backdrop. I will be coming back to these over the next few cloudy crappy dark rainy days. So many hot pictures and love that you picked up a kid at a hostel although that does sound like the beginning of a horror flick.

If there was ever a horse statue to mount that was it we know how you like mount stuff :) I'm a bit jelly of that ride :) Those pancake rocks are really really other worldly thanks for sharing such fabulous photos! You are my favorite Kiwi!
