Move over baby, give me the keys

'Tis the season to take pictures indoors, tra la la la, la la la la....
Indeed, it has been pissing down rain here!
The cats have barely moved from the couch, I've barely moved from my bed....
It's just too cosy for anything too energetic!

I did motivate myself to finally make curtains for the french doors...something I have been blithering about doing for months!
Wonders never cease!
I managed to finish them, and frock myself up for a brief excursion out for supplies.
Wore me out though, and it was back to bed!

Frock-70's, opshopped
Coat-60's, swapped it with a friend many, many moons ago
Tights-my soon to be partner in crime, Sarah
Boots-a market
Bow-a garage sale
Fabularse Rex handbag-60's, a gift from G
Earrings-the sexacious Desiree

The gig went surprisingly well last night, considering we have only had one practice since we played on the West Coast!
I started feeling a lot clearer in the afternoon, thankfully, so I didn't sound like Barbara Streisand!
Will sort through some pix tonight, and see of there's anything worth posting for you tomorrow!

Here's a little video Nix made up for one of our songs to keep you amused...
(That's Si and I on main vocals, Nix on backup)

Very glad your voice was okay and the gig went well. I know exactly what you mean about the weather and indoor photos. The curtains are a splendid backdrop - well done!

Great rain gear. x Pissing down here too. I think we can say the drought has officially broken. Surely!

I always enjoy the first of the cosy weather! Those curtains are rather dramatic! They make a fantastic backdrop. The coat is bloody gorgeous! Love the colour. Your band sounds great, brilliant video. It's great to see you in action. I want to give you a BIG squeeze! Xxxxx

I love all the red especially the fab coat. The space around your sewing machine is so tidy. Mine always has stray bits of thread and other pieces of crap around it.

Oh no. I hope you won't be doomed with a ling winter like the one we've had. I love that bag so much, it's cool. You stay cosy and take care. Xx

I'm your biggest music fan. I love your video!
But more bed rest for you young lady after being out singing to god knows what time and probably with a little galivanting as well. Tsk. tsk.
Your curtains are gorgeous and a great backdrop for your loveliness.

Look at you dearest Helga! Even when you are indisposed you manage to be matchy matchy with your curtains. And what curtains, I bet they were heavy to haul around when you were pinning and stitching them. You need to rest yourself young lady!

I do like to see you in your role as singing legend. It looks such a good laugh and don't sound too bad neither!! xxxx

I am in awe of your multi-talented fabulosity - sewing and singing and styling and booty-shaking are just a few of your goddess-qualities I so admire. Amazing how much you're getting done - making us other sickies look bad, lol. If I can do a fraction of that at my best, I'm stoked.

OMG I LOVE the song and the video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm also your biggest fan and not only because I want to be just like Melanie. Feel better soon, dolly! xoxoxo

Amor, you know I love you but if you bring that jacket to Helgastock, I will fight you for it. AND I WILL WIN!

You are exquisite, as frickin ALWAYS, because the day you are NOT fabularse is the day the earth stops spinning, rolls of its axis, gravity ceases to exist and we all fall into space and explode in a disgusting mess.
That's a LOT of responsibility, my love... fortunately we are in your very capable hands.

Now, speaking of hands... get OVER HERE and get RUDE with me!

Love you more than cheese and prunes.

The curtains look superb, so very you -- as suburb as you look, especially considering how poorly you're feeling! (I look & feel like a zombie at the moment.) I came *so* close to ordering leggings like yours (I sold my original Robot creepers to a gal in NZ! a wedge will be much better for pixie-sized me) they reminded me of Tim Burton, now that I see them on you, I think they are a must for my wardrobe! You and the band sound stupendous, and Nix did an amazing job with that video! I hope you're feeling better now. Healing hugs! XXX

Lynn Dylan said...

Ewwwwwwww, those leggings!! I love those!! I loved seeing your band pictures too, and those amazing plaid tights in your most recent post! Keep on modeling! Sounds like you had a fun trip to Kaikura (hope I spelled that right). yay!
