Now she's in purple, now she's the turtle

How lovely to prance about in the crunchy, golden Autumn leaves!
I'm sure I could wax lyrically, Nigella style, with loads of sensual pouting and deliciously raunchy metaphors........but I'd get too carried away!

I like to think I am the Queen of botched up frock adjustments, but whomever had this frock before I found it has outdone anything I could ever do.
I just can't quite work it out.
Never mind!
I've added some purple ribbon to the neckline to hide some messy stitching, and I have pressed the former pleated skirt since this wearing.
I like the colour, pattern and shape, so was happy to persevere in making it more comfortable to wear!
You last saw it here, more pastel themed, just after I scored it from a favourite opshop.

Look at you, an autumnal vision! So beautiful.
Your hair looks particularly wonderful today and the green coat and red gloves are spectacular together.
It seems so strange to see you in the fallen leaves and we've got bluebells.
Have a fantastic Friday!
Love you! xxxxxxxxxxxx

BeAUtiful green coat you have there. You make autumn look so tempting, I almost feel a longing for it. And your hair is perfect, so perfect. Do not, under any circumstances consider cutting it off.

These photos are lovely, so natural.

It's Friday night here and I've had a wee drinkie myself. Great minds think alike dear Helga! xxxxxxxx

I love crunching leaves too - though we're trying to embrace spring at the moment - getting excited at not having to go everywhere avec a giant coat and brolly combo.

Love the bold colours - and wow your eyes are sooo blue!

These pics are soooo beautiful. I just love autumn (there is something a bit addictive about scrunching through piles of leaves in heels!).That green coat is magnificent.

Gorgeous! You rock that frock. I love how Autumn looks like in New Zealand! Colourful :))

Love the print on that frock! The whole outfits is just wonderful.

It must be nice to crunch about the fallen leaves. Our fall lasts about 3 days max before the bitter, biting winds kick in and we need to don thicker clothes and jackets.

You are looking like a girl on a mission in that last shot and I am loving the light in these pictures. I love autumn leaves and all those colors too. Your dress has been Helgafied and I think it looks sweet on you! I still need to get you a close up of my tapestry bag, I know you will love it, I thought of it when I saw this one.
Your hair is on fire and I want to see you skipping through those leaves.

Very pretty long vintage hair Helga, looks to be creeping past waist? I've had an urge lately to cut mine and bleach the crap out of it, so seeing how lovely yours looks is inspiring me to keep those scissors in the drawer... love that green coat, perfect color for you, and wonderful how you can look demurely ladylike and in need of a drinkie at the same time...thanks for sharing!

I'm going to admit my ignorance here: I had no idea that seasons were different around the globe. I thought spring was spring everywhere! It's spring here, it's autumn there and my poor uneducated mind is blown.

Ooh I lovey dovey love this so much! The pink tights/blue shoes/green coat combo has me especially frisky!

I'm always so impressed that you the potential off a frock even if it's not right... i am getting better at it, but not being a sewist, if it can't be stapled or glued, I'm in trouble!

I always love to see you with your glorious locks down and in such a beautiful Autumnal setting is even better.

See you in THREE LITTLE SLEEPS, MY LOVE!!!!!

Oh Helga you darling woman, I was POSITIVE I had commented on this post... Sure certain and definite. But then my memory IS getting steadily worse, I blame the ever-approaching menopause. For everything.
Still - better terribly late than awful never, I suppose. You are a gorgeous vision, I can't tell you how much I love to see your hair down, and the pics with the sunlight coming through the autumn leaves are magical. Love the green coat and the pink/blue combo, and your ability to pull off a not-quite-right frock so no one knows! You're a genius, my love!
Have a quite splendid weekend, darling! xxxxx

Look at all that beautiful, golden, leafy foliage! You even taller in that gorgeous green coat (jealous)and your hair looks even longer than it normally does. I have a few dresses that have had alteration issues and I like to make the best of them too, by hiding their faults with cardis etc. Lovely- as usual.xx Shauna
