Now I have you with me, under my power-our love grows stronger now with every hour

We went back to school last week.
Our nephew and sister in law were performing with their Japanese drumming group at a high school auditorium....so we rocked on up, not expecting anything too stimulating and found that we loved it!
It was an amazing show, and the skills were mind blowing!
It was a good reason to go back to school...but ugh, what a weird place to be!
Mind you, I generally had a great time at school....it just seems so long ago and so far removed from who and where I am now!

I wore:
60's frock-Etsy
Coat-60's, opshopped
Cardi-my darling sistercousinwife Sarah
Tights-retail
Shoes-Trade Me
Handbag-a Rex, opshopped
Beret-opshopped
Sunglasses-Catch a Thief
Necklace-from sweetheart Krista
Earrings-from the talented Edie!

This is my "new" German lava vase....I have been looking for one of these for years, but it had to be a big fuck off statement piece at a good price...and feck me, I found it finally on Trade Me!
Not the best bargain, but pretty reasonable.
I frigging LOVE it and keep petting it!

So, Flange has their/our first gig on Saturday night!
(Blurb here)
I'm ridiculously excited, and it's our one and only gig with Cousin Phil...we'll be debuting our marvellarse new song "Nigellisima". It's my ode to Nigella.
The lyrics are pretty dodgy, which is just as they should be!
I know exactly what I am going to wear.

YAY!

X

Oh what a truly wonderful outfit Miss Helga........I was not thinking Tutti-Fruitti but Juicy Fruit....the chewing gum....crazy!!! Anyhow it was the perfect, bright and cheerful for a going back at school.........I always find it weird how small they feel, when it all felt so big way back then.
Oh oh the vase is amazing........and I am so excited because we had a twin moment with you!!!!!! We bought the most fabulous brown and orange German jug yesterday.
Have a great night at your gig.......knock their socks off........you will look amazing, as always.
Love V

that is the best write up ever - 'not for the faint-hearted' dammit I want to be there, I want some sleaze rock in my life, I can't wait to see what you wear too -
Going back to school is a weird feeling, I only ever did one reunion thingy, peed in the teachers toilets, drank most of the wine and smoked on the balcony, the usual stuff.
As ever I love your gorgeous ensemble Miss Helga, you look delectable, I am especially lusting over the frock and coat x

Ah so that's your German lava vase, I saw you mention it at Kylie's. It's a beaut.

Love that hair do and just look at those shoes! I bet you induced much envy in the hearts of school girls. I would find it very weird going back to school, but it sounds like it was amazing.

Have you seen, Nigella already has her divorce nisi? He behaved appallingly! Dreadful man. xxxxxx

You're a vision of radiance, that dress is the most fabulous pleated thing I've ever seen in my life and I just want to snuggle inside your fuzzy coat.
I love that Fat Lava. If it's worth doing it's worth doing on a bastard massive scale, no point wasting our time on piddly little pieces!
I have dreams I'm still at school and often wake up relieved I'm not. I didn't really object to most of it but the uniforms killed me.
Wishing you loads of luck for the gig, wish I could come.
Love you! xxxx

I go back to school every day and won't have half as much fun as you.
Lovely vase too. I do like a big statement piece.
A song for Nigella? Superb. I'm glad she's rid of that dickhead.
You are awesome. That is all.

Lovely color explosion! I hope you're carry your vase when you are wearing those clothes because the clothes and the vase fits so nicely together. So you have a crush on Nigella? My sisters object of hate ... She apparently slurps? i got to watch one of her shows so that I can gain an impression.

this coat is killer. i love everything about it ... some years ago i owned a quite similar on - camel coloured. after a few years i had to let it go, because on the side i carry my bag it looked like a sheared sheep.
