Tasty like a raindrop

I was luck, luck, lucky enough to spend a day opshopping with the rather gorgeous Daisy du Belle, a delicious Irish born burlesque minx about town!!!
We hooned about Christchurch, checking out as many opshops as we had energy for, plus we stopped in to Buchan St Retro for a good nosey and a wee photoshoot.
( I was quite thrilled that Daisy didn't know about this place, it made for a little surprise)

I admired this coffee pot, but didn't fancy the price!

This picnic set is sooo sweet!

Just look at that formidable bosom nearly putting Daisy's eyes out!
Crikey, must learn to rein those girls in!

I do love a wall of mirrors!

And a bit of shag pile to roll about on!
Actually, I think it was sheepskin....

I wore:
Frock-early 60's, I think, from Trade Me a couple of years back. It has a matching coat; some of you may remember that I was very uncertain about the colour initially, but I have gotten comfortable with it!
Coat-50's, opshopped
Beret-60's, opshopped
Shoes-Trade Me
Handbag-60's, a school fair
Earrings-thrifted in the States
Necklace-70's blingtastic, opshopped

I scored:
A vivid purple frock that was from a costume hire, shoes and some red ribbed tights, a Queenie Silver Jubilee mug (score of the YEAR!), an odd Jeanne D'Arc badge and faux sort of heraldic necklace and a sweetly labelled white cardigan!

I had such an awesome time, picking up a few things was a bonus, really!
Can't wait to do it again!

Edit: Just looked up the faux heraldic pendant thingy, it had Summit Entertainment on the back...and much to my shame it is a Twilight tie in!!!
No offence if you're into it, but frankly, I'm appalled!

It is a fun pendant though, and I will enjoy it.....

Such a lovely day out - shopping with friends is the best. Also - sorry about the Twilight thing....perhaps you can DIY it and make it into something even more magnificent and reduce the taint of Twilight;)

Oh no, don't EVER rein the girls in! You know they wouldn't stand for it anyway, they need to be free to roam and have anyone's eye out they damn well please! Now, I DO remember that gorgeous dusky pink dress, you Desiree-fied it in one post, as I recall. I'm glad you didn't dye it, I love that colour on you, and with leopard print tights and the magenta coat, you look fabulous!
Daisy looks a sweetheart, love her frock, the shop is full of fabulous treasure, and you scored well - Twilight, hahahaha!
Now - make some room on that sheepskin, I'm coming for a cuddle! xxxxx

What an amazing shop! Only you could roll around on a sheepskin rug in public. I LOVE IT!!! Mind you, I'm surprised you didn't fancy a little nanna nap while you were down there, it looks so comfortable. The girls are magnificent. Honestly, if they had their own blog, I'd follow it. Your new pal looks adorable. What a day you must have had the two of you. Well, four including the gals ;)
Treasures by the bucketload. Well done on the Queenie mug, but you know I had to look up Twilight tie. Hmmm..vampires aint my thang neither! xxxxxxx

I've heard about that shop and I can't wait to raid it.
Talking about Twilight confessions, once I bought a Twilight Barbie because she had an amazing vinyl coat!
Your (and Daisy's) ensemble is perfect, by the way.

It looks like you had a fun day together :)
I love picnic hampers, when I was little I was infatuated with them and would have to open up every basket with a lid and every case, just to check if it was a picnic basket, it drove my mum potty!
I do like Daisy's taste in shoes, those poodle ones are gorgeous!

I am totally in L O V E with that picnic set, it would look mighty fine in our wee Maisie! I know I have my Nanas funky 60's flower power picnic set somewhere at home in NZ (stashed so damn safely I can never find it) *sigh* I will just have to take another trip across the ditch to hunt it down.
You look splendid darling xoxoxox
