You be my passerby, I'll be your one to pass through

I have an odd relationship with the colour purple....I think it's because it's often the favourite colour of the uber loony New Agey types....(not that New Agers are generally loony, I just happen to have met a quite few that are!)
I only really, really find purple truly fabularse when it's paired with lime green or bright orange.
I think these two colours bring out the best in purple!

I'm getting sick to death of having to have a hat jammed onto my head....but the 3 times I've gone out without a hat, I've gotten a fecking cold.
So now I'm paranoid about it!
O well, Spring is on the horizon....I'll be able to prance about with a bouffant before too long...

Lime green and purple are divine together. They just bring out the best in each other. They love each other so much they should have a commitment ceremony on the beach together. There are not words for how much I love this outfit and how scrumptious you look!(Oh, there are words!) XXX

So explain again what the problem is with purple? Did some old hippy type in purple velvet try and seduce you in your youth, and you have had an aversion ever since? Well, it's time to get over it and embrace the purple, baby!
You look divine in purple and lime green, the dress is perfection, your bozoom is regal, the beret (though sickening you to death) is exquisite, and you are a fabularse sight to behold.
Pesky hems - don't you just hate it when they let you down like that?
Lovey love you! xxxxx

Scrummy dress Miss Helga.......look the paisley pattern......I am the same as you I have a funny affair with purple. All though I do love that it is the royal colour.
Oh sweet three yucky colds......you poor thing......yes a nice wool beret will keep the bugs away.

PS ??????Sarah is your sister/cousin/wife.....hmmmm interesting. A code me thinks????

Those colors are really made to be together, and you've mixed them in just the right combinations. The purple looks more like cornflower on my screen, but still is perfectly mated to the green. Such a pretty outfit!

The ballerinas are just - Squeeeee!

I get so confused by your opposite seasons. But your familial relationships - sistercousinwife? - are beyond me.

mesmerizing! you are quite right purple and lime green are outrageously good together, hopefully no more crappy colds for you x

The coat comes up more blue-ish than purple on my screen too, but I will trust in it's purpleness. I have an uneasy relationship with purple because it is the official colour of the University where I work, and it's always assumed that if you wear purple to work that you are showing your "Western Spirit" - blech! Pairing it with orange, lime green (or red is a fave of mine) keeps it a little more subversive ;)

Stay healthy - Spring is coming (as is our Autumn)!

I'm rather the same about purple, it's never been a favourite colour of mine. But I used to dislike red too & now look at me! I love your frock & the matchy matchy outfit. The beauty case is divine! I hope you keep some cold weather for me. I need some real winter! Xx

I concur that orange and lime green are the perfect mates for purple. You make me swoonish in this outfit. Shocking and elegant at the same time - my favourite.

I reckon some purple-clad posh bird tried to read your aura in a bar when you'd had one gin too many.
I love purple and I love it even more with green. I can't wait to wear my latest purple and orange maxi if the bastard rain would stop long enough. That dress is gorgeous and those tights are stunners.
Love ya! xxxxxx

Even though I don't own much of it, purple is my absolute favourite colour. They say if you're drawn to purple you're depressed, but I've never suffered depression. You are right though, it looks tremendous with green or orange. You look divinely coordinated as always, but definitely don't forgo your hat yet. Xx

It's a well known fact, in my universe at least, that purple and green are the best of friends. But never have they had a better outing than with you, today. You look truly scrumptious. I'm so glad to get the chance to have a good old look at that dress on. Just marvellous.

Cannot WAIT to see you frolicking around sporting a bouffant pre-raphaelite in the spring! Until then, keep that beret firmly on, we don't want a relapse, do we? xxxxx

Lime green and purple: what an inspiring vision!! I never related purple to new agey types..and well you are right, but they use it in a completely different way, that's why at first I didn't relate it to them!
Your use of purple is absolutely stunning and I'm totally in love with your coat!!!

I like purple when it's not too precious and paired with green is a great way to have fun with it and not be too sacharine about it.

Sorry about all your colds- wear a hat indoors and out, and eat loads of garlic.

Lime green is something I would normally wear very sparingly...but you look amazing in it- and I think it's because you have it on in several places! I love how you use beauty cases as handbags-I've done this with one small pink one, might have to hunt up other colours because I love that look xx Shauna

yes yes yes! to green with purple and white. It look fabulous - and these olive-y mossy greens give the whole outfit a more 60s look - bright greens I think would be more new agey, perhaps. Black definitely would. You look delicious, that vanity case is bloody marvellous xxx

I love the purple and green together. I have so much trouble with purple. I love it IN THEORY but when I try to wear it I feel all ERGH and UCCKKH and FLERGL. So, naturally, I am DELIGHTED to hear that you also object except in very specific combinations...

Because it's motherfucking SCIENCE!

My love, you are divine, as always. Love you more than Yoko Ono.
