With eyes completely open, but nervous all the same

Saturday's outfit, inspired by some new goodies I have been lucky enough to receive.....

Peepers arse!

Frock and handbag-from darling Leisa
Coat-from my friend Nix
Scarf-from sweetheart Bella
Petticoat-60's, opshopped
Shoes-from wonderful Rae
Scarf ring-60's, opshopped
Sunglasses-50's, from lovely Sue

G received this funky shirt from Leisa, which happened to go perfectly with his Lee leisure suit that he got in Santa Fe!
He's pretty bloody chuffed with it!

A big orange knob, of course!

A close up on those shoes, they don't photograph too well!

As most of you know, Leisa has been in NZ with her divoon hubby, cruising about, raiding our opshops!
G and I met up with them on Friday at a cafe near our work, the I went off with them for an afternoons opshopping...but was so excitable I hardly took any pix!
These are all I have to offer.......

The love bought along a huge Parcel of Joy for me!
I was overwhelmed, so had to wait until I got home to open it!
Some of the goodies are peppered throughout this post...!

I wore:
Frock-60's/70's, Trade Me
Coat-70's, opshopped
Shoes-a school fair
Bag-vinyltastic, opshopped
Headpiece-60's, from my sistercousinwife Sarah
Earrings-sweetie Edie
Necklace-the sexacious Desiree
Sunglasses-Catch a Thief

Naturally, I had to wear green in honour of the gorgeous lass!

And then out to dinner last night for our mate Simon's birthday...haven't worn this frock in ages!

Frock-60's, Madame Butterfly's, very "Mad Men", I feel!
Stole-a theatre sale
Headpiece and earrings-from the darling Leisa
Brooch-a market in Sydney
Handbag-50's, was G's Mama's, and I painted and decorated it! Sacrilege!
Sheer tights-retail
Shoes-Trade Me
Faux fringe-from sexy arse Vix

I've lost a cherub!

Thank goodness for Sunday, I need a rest!

Peeper's arse! Orange knobs! G looking quite the dude in a leisure suit! You with a fringe! Leisa and Paul! It's all too much joy....
So all the outfits are fabularse, of course - loving all that bluey/lilac loveliness, you look wonderful in green and orange, and the black sparkly cocktail dress is just stunning. I know you don't wear black very often (and you an ex-Goth, for shame!) but when you do, it looks so dramatic against your hair, I always feel a little breathless.
And snap, I was wearing my very similar little scarf clip with a ballet dancer on it last night. We are scarf clip twins, hurray!
Lovey love you! xxxxx

Love your stripy new shoes! And your bloggy meet up. And your big orange knob. And the sneak shot of Peeper's arse. You spoil us, you really do.

When I got to the picture of you in full evening dress I thought 'Gott im Himmel'. That's honestly what I thought. I am going to have to go over to the Helga side and say 'divoon' and 'fabularse'. See you've turned me, you minx! xxxxxx

Wherever she is, Mme. Slocumb is raising a glass in smiling approval of that black-widow ensemble.

The faux fringe works. One wonders what color wig La Grande Dame herself would have worn?
