And you won't get me in a hole to rot-with your hemlock on the rocks

So, 3 years since the first of our earthquakes, we are finally feeling comfortable and safe enough to start putting things back on our walls!
Can't remember the last time I felt an aftershock.
Hurrah!
So after a little gentle nagging (!), G fished out some boxes from the garage and we got busy on this bit of wall with some of our travel treasures, mostly from Mexico.
I am rather looking forward to getting some more things up, especially over the cocktail cabinet!

The skull was from a friends garden, I intend to paint it sometime and hot glue those faux flowers on... eventually.

Frock-from my sistercousinwife Sarah
Headpiece-from the sexacious Desiree
Earrings-put together by moi from some opshopped bits
Necklaces-top: Wasteland, San Francisco last year, middle: 70's, opshopped, bottom: London 1989
Shoes-opshopped
Toes-Barry M "neon green", from sexy arse Vix
Booboids-courtesy of my late Mama

We have a trunk (G's Mama's hope chest, actually!) load of genie bottles, 3 of which you see above left, that we have a plan for when we renovate the kitchen/dining area.

The two tea light holders were from Turkey, and the little head was off Trade Me.
The Frida heart at the bottom was a gift from the heavenly Shelley.

This is Peepers classic "poo face".
She's quite expressive, especially when she is displeased, and she is frequently displeased with me shoving the camera in her face!
Humpers, on the other hand, is only too happy to oblige.
I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one who likes to take billions of pictures of my pets?!

Bloody bostin' you arer in green! that dress is a stunner and shows off your Mama's boobs a treat. I love the idea of tarting up a skull with glued on flowers, I've a broken wooden one that needs a little something and flowers could be the answer!
Three years without wall embellishments? That would drive me mental. You need to go berserk and hang everything that stands still for more than five minutes up!
The kitties are gorgeous, I never get tired of photographing my own or admiring everyone else's.
Love you! xxxxxxxxxxx

OOH BOOBS! Sorry, for a minute I became a lecherous 1970s working men's club comedian. But seriously, your Mama's bosom is magnifique! And you look stunning in green, loving those sleeves.
How good to be able to adorn your walls again, with so many gorgeous treasures.
Peepers face is hilarious, she isn't pleased, is she? I take loads of pics of my darlings too, and I always enjoy seeing the NZ pookies!
Love you more than pictures of Crippen, lipstick smeared! xxxxx

You look sumptuous in that green frock and your newly decorated wall looks magnificent. I love the floral piece the skull is wearing. I have had a long held obsession with Mexican sugar skulls so may have to start adding some of those gorgeous crosses to my collection. Ebay here I come!XXX

Love your wonder wall, so much to admire especially that horny adornment. The pookies are pretty, my puss doesn't like posing for the camera much either.

Gorgeous dress and yay for putting your stuff back up! and how cute are your kittehs!

Teresa said...

Haha! I'm totally guilty of shoving the camera in my pooches face and taking too many pictures… which is probably why she so very rarely 'poses' for me. ;)

I adore the colours in your house and your green dress.

I grew up in California and haven't lived there since 1982 and I STILL can't hang anything over the bed. I was always afraid whatever was hanging there would kill me in my sleep. Love the orange wall of awesome.

Your eyes are so beautiful & piercing in that first pic! Green frocks, doesn't really matter what style, gets me every time. I love your wall of delight, but like Vix I don't know how you managed with bare walls for so long. I want me some of those genie bottles...what a wonderful collection, & are you suggesting there are even more??? Xx

Those beautiful boobs that your mama gave you really are just that beautiful! The wall of horn and holy sacrament is gorgeous and I'm so happy to see you comfy enough to put this on the walls again. The flowers on you and the beast are beautiful! I think your two cats are sweet and so different from their looks:
Lots of lovexxxxxxxoooooo

Holy cow, your boobs look frickin' fabulous! (forgive me for sounding like a lecherous old man there for a minute). YOu are a goddess in slinky green with your crown of pink flowers.

That is a wonderful collection of mexican folk art crosses, etc. I have very wall space in my apartment that isn't filled with art/dolls/stuff. I've been told it's the "Shelley Museum".

ole! i feel like im south of the boarder! or north of the boarder for us! I love Mexicana (is that PC?) I had a Mexican themed birthday this year and i got one of those pretty dresses with the colourful embroidery on the front. I love it! hopefully those naughty earthquakes will stay away and your pics can stay up. But i must say, i am so impressed with Christchurch's ability to pick itself up and all the innovative things they are doing - like the shipping container mall and the cardboard church! Kiwis are pretty damn clever!

What a delightful burden, having to decorate your house with Mexican paraphernalia! Of course you're not the only one... I think I took a million photos on a daily basis when I had my cat! That green dress is absolutely fabulous on you, love it.
