A silver tongue for the chosen one

So, I thought I'd better share some pix from our little road trip to help you get over the glory that was Helgaween.... (SO chuffed y'all enjoyed it so much! I had a sore face after from laughing and from the effort of trying to appear innocent rather than gormless...)

Our first stop was Geraldine, where I had the best feijoa icecream.
So good I didn't take the time to photograph it, I just jammed that cone into my gob.

Then on the road to Omarama, where the sky was decidedly gloomy and a nasty cold wind prevailed...

Shopping!
Try and stop me!

It was full of the sort of antiques we don't really go for...and a Xena, High Priestess of Carnage or whatever she was exhibit!!!
(Or was she Queen of the Jungle...no, that was Sheena. O, that was a shitey film, wasn't it?! Whatever happened to Tanya Roberts?! I digress...)

Cute car in Tarras.

Then we landed in Alexandra, for our first night, where we got a cute little old cabin that hadn't been touched since the 60's!

And we did a little photoshoot with a dear wee tractor in the kiddies playground, but that's for another time!

X

Happy Helgaween! Your trip looks like fun!

That shot of you running into the antique shop is just hilarious, I love it! You're looking like a right sex kitty in your leopard coat and bare legs, you little minx.
You're giving Geraldine a run for her money in the looks department, you're both glorious.
Jo used to be glued to Xena, Warrior Princess every saturday afternoon in the 1990s. Isn't Lucy Lawless a Kiwi eco warrior? I'm sure there was an interview with her in the Guardian recently. She's been in prison & everything.
That country air clearly suits G, he looks damned fine in that shot.
Love ya! xxxxx

Ah..so glorious in your Helga-blue frock and leopard!!
And the G-man is looking rather fine!!!

That antique store looks a tad BORING!!

And some saucy-frocked tractor molesting to boot!!

Your frocks are always so gorgeous, I want to come to your house and play dress up with Helga. Yay to road trips round our fabulous little country!!!!

Oh the glorious new greenery and your darling bare feeties! Such beautiful colours in all your ensembles, hilarity at every turn and sweet motel and I'm beside myself with anticipation of the tractor series! Barely recovered from Helgaween, and you foist this upon us - foist away!!! xoxoxo

You are the most exquisitely beautiful road tripper ever - no overalls and cowboy hats for you, my love!

The blue frock is bloody GORGEOUS (and oooh that tooled handbag gets me every time, right in the you-know-what!).

The countryside looks so beautiful - no scrubby old brown bits and no bastardy bushfires over there in that glorious Middle Earth.

The 60s cabins look spewmentous! That peachy/apricoty/fruity colour is quite hideously fabularse. What was the interior like?

G looks as spunky-arsey as always and I can't WAIT to see the tractor pics!!!

Love you more than all the rolling green hills, Sarah xxx

Yay pics from the "road trip'. The blue dress is gorgeous.....man I should have had a wee fossick in your bags.......treasure.
The units from the 60's are very very cool. We love staying places like that.
Hope the weekend is going splendidly.....love v

Ha, Sheena never held a candle to the original Clash of the Titans or Red Sonja! Not even American Ninja.

awww what a pretty drive! and then bam - that long white cloud theyre always talking about... or maybe its a different cloud? anyways. Those silly antique stores perhaps they were just trying to cash in on the LOTR fame? anyway - you look fab as always, even while trying to wrestle a tractor. xoxo

You know I love a road trip post! But I was a teensy bit disappointed at no photos of the 60s cabin? Were you too gobsmacked to take photos? Wish I'd known about the ice cream when I was in Geraldine.

is it wrong I'm having an armour phase? I fancy a little arm-armour? enough of my nonsense, you are delectable in blue, that dress is fab, fab fab! as is your excellent coat! I love the cabins, we have nothing like that here, pah! - am looking forward to the tractor pics x x x

Hmm, that looks like a pretty FAB antique store to ME! It would have been funsy if the pic had showed you running into the place right over the prone carcass of that other woman! The pic of you molesting the tractor is so pretty, with the green of the tractor and the blue of your dress and the red of your hair!

I think the most Helgaesque shot is always you mounting something! More more now now! The blues and greens of the sky and trees and your dress are so vibrant I always trip out that as we head into winter and barren trees you just start bursting with color and sunshine! G looks scrumptious in his track suit jacket!

I'm with Vix the shot of you running to the antique shop is a friggin riot, I know that feeling! Can't wait to see more of your naughtiness!

That shot of you running to the shops is ace, loving the blue frock.

Looks like a wonderful trip, love the shot of you galloping to the antiques store! xxx

I'm with the others. I love seeing videos of you walking, but I bet one of you running would be even better. Was there squeeeeeealing involved?

That blue dress is one of my very favourites of yours, the colour and the shape are just so great on you, you beautiful creature. Bare legs? Those layers are starting to come off! :)

Ooh, those cabins are mighty cute. Do we get to see indoors? I know I want to. xxxxxx

The Captain & I enjoyed seeing your pics so much. How we love that part of NZ. You look divine in that blue frock. You sure know how to travel in style. We love looking at the Omarama antique shop, although there's not much there that tempts me either. Xx

Feijoa icecream sounds amazing. I love everything feijoa flavoured except the vodka. It's gross. Xena Warrior Princess! I used to have a crush on her sidekick Gabrielle when I was a kid. You look fabulous in your leopard print coat.

So was the actual town called "Geraldine"? I would love to say "pardon me, but I'm from Geraldine..." That is one sassy blue dress you are wearing - very Helga-esque. I see you are starting to bare some skin as we are starting to cover ours up with warm layers.

YOu can tell the cabins are from the 60's by the oh-so-lovely peach colour ;)

Pretty pretty blue dress! I love G's matching track jacket. Josh owns it in bright green...I bought it for him as a Christmas gift years ago.
