Oh, but the sun goes down every night

We (Loafer) had an opportunity to fill in after a cancellation at Jane's Bar, a teeny tiny little local bar last Sunday night.
We jumped at it, as it made a great warm up to our New Years Eve gig, where we are playing at The Pier Hotel  in Kaikoura!

It's a bit tough, gigging at the start of a working week, but feck it, it's the last week of work for the year, and vodka martini's are my new favourite friend!

I wore:
Frock-50's, Small Earth Vintage
Belt-opshopped
Shoes-Trade Me
Handbag-a Rex, from the sweetest Squirrel
Hairflower-an amalgamation of two opshopped flowers
Necklace-from my boobalicious sistercousinwife
Earrings-opshopped
Sunglasses-Wasteland, San Francisco

X

PS:
Some of you were wondering what the radical thing is that G and I decided to do......we decided that we are going to do up and sell our house, and hopefully find a lovely house in a more fabularse neighbourhood!
It's a bit freaking me out, but it feels like it's time to get moving on!

EEeeeek! That's so exciting! I can't imagine what a massive move that's going to be but they'll be no bastard neighbours and loads of room to collect vintage cars and frolik madly!
Adore that frock and dreaming of bare legs. You don't want to see what I've got on my feet at the moment!
The last working week of the year?? I'll join you for a vodka martini!
Love you! xxxxxxxxxx

So excited! I can't wait to see what you go for and where you end up. Hell, I can't even wait to see the rejects, such is my fondness for home snooping. I so love you in this amazing frock, the colour and everything are so great, and Vix is right, it' s great to see that it is bare leg weather.
I've finished now for Xmas! Feels good, so I am going to drink a nice big glass of wine and toast you. Cheers My lovely xxxxx p.s. Lovely pic of peepers on fb.

Vodka martinis all round! Here's to finding a great new home, with no shitty neighbours, where you can throw lavish parties and be the talk of the town!
Oooh, I do so love an orange frock and that one is an absolute beauty! Ric rac, and your rack - what could be better? Excellent sandals too, and perfectly co-ordinated toe nails, how lovely.
Hope the gig went well, and you're playing on NYE? How exciting!

As much of a hassle moving can be -- all that packing of glorious goodies -- its also so exciting! I'm so jealous you look like a scrumptious summer dream! (You do NOT want to know what I'm wearing due to freezing me arse off!) I'm longing to move back to the city, I miss it so much but we have to wait until our daughter is out of school ): Although lately I keep dreaming of moving someplace more temperate, I just know me and would miss NY too much (even with a bloody snowstorm every other day!) Your dress matches the pub signage, serendipitous dressing again? Love a bit of ric-rac.

Saw something today that reminded me of you but I cannot be arsed to find it again right now so I'll just link it in my next blog post when I'm not so tired (it's bedtime here!)

We're planning on doing that same thing! As the Doctor is retiring and we want to move to California, AKA HOME! I'm freaking out about it, as in, what if nobody wants the place and I have to live here forever!

Good luck

I love how your sandals sort of echo the print in G's shirt. And orange is your color. Or is it blue?

Break a leg at the gig, and good luck with the move! I was feeling a little wanderlust myself lately - it's always good to dust off the cobwebs.

That is very exciting (and scary too!) news - arsehole neighbours can just ruin your life ( I have been there). Here's to a finding a lovely little house in a neighbourhood with like-minded, cool people.

Honey, you are a vision of tangerine awesomeness in that dress. I think you should wear nothing but square dancing dresses for the rest of your life as they suit your shape and style magnificently.

Ah, good heavens, you're a vision in that sassy orange dress! Good luck on the house sell!
