Well I'm upper upper class high society, God's gift to ballroom notoriety

I'm pretty fecking stoked with this late 60's/early 70's frock I picked up at my local St Vincent de Paul the other week.
Not only is it the loudest shade of pink, but that ripply bit down the side makes me feel fabularsely swishy!
And it fits like a dream.
Flange were asked to play at a party on Saturday, so I thought it would be a perfect frock for a spot of rock and rolling.....alas, we did not play, as there were all sorts of complaints before we even got there.
C'est la vie.
I imbibed a great many cocktails instead.

The earrings were a gift from my scrumptious sistercousinwifey Sarah (37 sleeps!), the beads opshopped, the sunglasses from Catch a Thief.
I made the bow, the 60's Rex handbag came via a friend, and the sandals were from Trade Me for a fiver.

That's our vege garden behind me, to the right!!!!
I'm amazed we've managed it!
I've just planted leeks, dwarf beans and some more spinach. In heels.
(Really! They're all muddy and need a clean now. They looked pretty odd with my gardening gloves, I suppose. Ugh, I can't bear dirt under my fingernails!!!))
I've got mint and basil in pots...need more herbs! And the mint needs to go into something bigger.

Feck me, that is one fantastic frock! It certainly does fit you and the girls like dream and that shade of pink is quite insane. Not menopausal are you, love?
I'm well impressed with the veg garden, deffo puts our feeble attempts to shame. Bet you've got some whopping courgettes!
Love you! xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I just KNEW that dress was going to be beautiful on you, and of course I was RIGHT! Sorry, I'm shouting, but you look very, very HOT! The cascade-y frilly bit is so gorgeous, you look like a goddess. A goddess planting her herbs in heels while drinking cocktails, perfect!
Bummer about not being able to play, what were people complaining about? Oh well, slurping down a few drinkies was some consolation, I suppose...
Lovey love you! xxxx

The dress is divine, shame you didn't get to rock out in it! Jealous of your lovely vegetable patch, our garden is in dire need of love and care xxx

Loving the pink dress, so elegant and flowy but the colour makes it zing. Almost makes me wish I hadn't chucked out my neon pink dress from the 80s! But it was a sack in comparison.

Very pretty with frill and all. It's a,ways a delight when a piece fits like a dream. Rather jealous of your veggie patch. The only thing doing well in ours at the moment is basil. I really should do a huge batch of pesto.

I love gardening in theory ... in practise there is just too much dirt and worms and things that creep and crawl!
I love the dress ... makes me think of an early seventies bridesmaid. You just need a hat, some gloves and a basket of flowers.

Wowser! That is such a spectacular frock and you look just scrumptious! Your garden looks very impressive, and created in heels no less...I had a little veggie garden once in an ex-boyfriend's backyard and I remember being so thrilled when stuff grew and we could eat it ;)

Wow, that's a stunning dress! Frock me, what a colour.

I got a giggle out of your post title. I recognize a lot of the song lyrics that you use, and this is one of my favourite Bon Scott-era AC/DC songs. Tee hee!
