Humanity is a deer in the headlights, the road is covered in blood

I scored this divoon 60's frock at Helgastock 2013 from Fossil Vintage.
It covers 3 things I adore: pussy bows, polka dots, and a 50's silhouette.
(There are many other things I adore, but we haven't got all day...)

Hurrah!
Speaking of Helgastock, Helgastock 2014 is about to commence, and I am peeing myself with excitement!!!
In the wee hours of Saturday morning, G and I will wing our way to Melbourne, and into the loving arms of sistercousinwife Sarah and Cousin Phil for a weeks worth of boob touching, shrieking, shopping, posing, prancing and general debauchery!!!

HURRAH!

Scarf ring-60's, opshopped
Belt, tights and sunglasses-opshopped
Shoes-online
Handbag-a Rex, can't remember if G bought me this one, or if I found it in an opshop
Earrings-a gift from my friend Christine of The Vintage Cupboard

Oh such a fabulous frock, perfect in its 50s polka-dotted pussy-bowed glory! And of course the Rex and the brilliant green tights make it look all the more wonderful.
You and G will have the most amazing time in Melbourne with Sarah and Phil, I bet you cannot WAIT to get there and commence the prancing and posing and laughing and fondling and shopping and tomfoolery that is Helgastock! xxxxxxx

That dress ticks all the boxes for me! I share your love of pussy bows, dots and 50's silhouettes. You can't get any better really. Maybe a peter pan collar but that might be pushing it. Love the tights with the frock too. Gorgeous! XXX

Helga darling, I wish we lived nearby and could borrow from one another's closets! I recently acquired a rather alluring pair of heels that would work smashingly with that dress. We could each take turns wearing the outfit that the two created. :)

Blue & green...you make my heart sing! Even the Captain had to note how much he liked this combo. I can't wait to live vicariously through you during Helgafest. I so wish we could have joined you. I'll just have to save the cavorting for our NZ trip. Much love my polkadot Queen! Xx

I like polka dots too, especially big ones, and this is a lovely dress! I am so in love with all the bold colours in your house.

Can't believe it's time for Helgastock 2014 already? Where does the time go? Please give Sarah a squeeze for me, will you? I don't know I'll ever get to meet her, but I want her to know I'm thinking about her.

Living in Oz, in Canberra, I no doubt will feel the flutter in the air, the frisson of your arrival. How exciting, travel is such a great thing! And to travel towards loved ones is sheer unadulterated bliss! Ahhh...I can feel the excitement already. I'm sure the birds are singing louder...the chorus is warming up, clearing their throats, now all together on the downbeat...

Well there's a lot to adore here, mainly the sight of you, looking bloody marvellous in your dots and pussy bow if you don't mind me saying.
Helgastock. It's only fitting such an event be named after you. You'll have the very best time. Don't stress about which clothes to take, you look great in everything, and after the first gin, who cares anyway?! Lots of love xxxxxxxx

I love your blue frock, especially with the tights. I always hated the saying "blue and green should never be seen..." i mutter it every time i wear those two colours. gah! curse my mums little fashion chants! hahaha
