Let the only sound be the overflow, pockets full of stones

Choo woo!
Our workplace is beside a railway line, which means we feel like we're having earthquakes all the time!
It's quite exciting when we get an old steam engine go by, though. G is quite fascinated by them, as are most men, I believe.

This is just a regular one...not the Chattanooga Choo Choo, sadly....

That naughty Squirrel returned my precious leopard coat when she was last up!
Just as well, we're just starting to need a little extra warmth some mornings.
That's ok. I'm fairly cruisey about Autumn.
I won't start whingeing about being cold until at least June.

Look at your teeny tiny feet in those amazing boots! And those yellow tights...you are on fire! So lovely to see Kiwi Rail behind you. It might look boringly normal to you, but feels oh so exotic from here over the water in Oz :-)

Excellent tights + boots combo! I love the lock on your bag, it looks like a little shocked face. Have you been telling it wicked secrets, I bet you have!

I love trains -- much nicer than being stuck by a big road!

Ooh, you're going to need the warmth of that fabulous coat, it's a good thing naughty Miss V didn't keep it! You look glorious in red and yellow, hanging around on the wrong side of the tracks... And have we seen those amazing boots before? They are something!
Oh to be able to meet up at the market with the Awesome Foursome - I wish!

I love a nice train blow every now and again and if there is steam involved I will stomp up and down with excitement. This coat makes me want to stomp with envy no wonder it was kidnapped by that sneaky Vanessa.
You look wild gorgeous and I bet the conductor was like YOWZA!!!!!!

my daddy and brother are obsessed with trains! and we lived right on a train line so every time a steam engine was due to come through, it was a big event with a camera tripod and a horn to get the drivers attention so he could toot his whistle. omg such a fun memory to recall!
I love that coat! no such cool weather for us yet, we had autumn in feb and are now having summer. Yay confused weather!

My favorite outfits are always the eccentric, eclectic ones that are nonetheless expertly coherent. You're a master at that!

(I've also been listening to What the Water Gave Me on repeat for days - coincidence much?)

Whilst i love that leopard coat beyond words, i'm sad to see you wearing it because that means your summer is almost over and i don't feel you've had enough of it. No BBQs wearing skimpy dresses with bare legs, no rolling on the grass. Sigh! On the other hand, you do look bloomin' gorgeous in that outfit with your yellow tights and red shoes. Toot toot! can't beat a steam train! Xxxxxx

Love the old train, your Horrockses frock, and those hot to trot legs. I'm rather sad I won't make it to Melbourne. Health & finances just aren't permitting at the moment. Anyhoo we have another jaunt to NZ to save for. Xx

Oh Helga, the coat is so spectacular, and you are so lucky to find a Horrockes dress that fits. I have found three I think and none in my size. I love polka dots and those 80s boots are (in the words of my 12yo) BOSS.
