With your cheap fur on, or maybe your plastic raincoat

OMG, "Fall in Love with Me" is my favouritist  Iggy pop song ever in the history of the world of Iggy!!!
I was casting about for inspiration for a title to this post, pointed my finger at G and "said pick a song..."
And he just simply said that line....ah, bless, G is such a star!
Most especially as I am wearing a faux leather coat in this post and he didn't know it was these pix I was posting!!!
(Faux, faux, FAUX...such a fabularse word...)

And bless you lot for all your splendidly wonderful and encouraging comments on my last post!!!
I should also have said that I do get a lot of positive comments, more so now than in the past.

Y'all fecking rock, you do.
The haters can go suck arse.

G helped me pick this outfit.
I was blithering about what to wear to work on Friday, and decided on this gingham square dance frock, and was about to go for the usual red/white/black accessories, when G said, nah, wear lurid green tights and....these shoes.......and this handbag....
Sweet.
G is pretty good for a little wardrobe assistance, he has a knack for colour combinations I would never think of normally!!!

Really should think about brushing my hair, I suppose...pah!

G is a fabulous stylist! I think i I asked Simon to pick out an outfit, complete with all the accessories, he'd collapse with fear. Or ask what an accessory is...
So hurray for G's funky colour sense, his Iggy Pop lyric inspiration, and his general all-round awesomeness. And three cheers for you too, my darling, all gingham-ed up and looking beautiful! The green and yellow were inspired choices, and your hair looks particularly fine. In fact, you are looking deliciously foxy in those last two close-up photos, what WAS G saying?!
Love you! xxxxxx

What fabulous colours in this outfit - they all work together so perfectly with the black and white gingham! G certainly does have a knack for accessorizing, and coming up with perfect blog post titles too! Love your earrings, that little suitcase purse is adorable and gorgeous hair as always.

Those tights are so groovy baby, especially with those shoes and the gingham is a great contrast. I just read your last post about the less than positive comments from people, and being yourself. I don't get this hater -type behaviour. Keep on being yourself, and could you please do a hair tutorial - it is looking magnificent.

G. is the secret behind your fab outfits!! :-)
"every cool dressed woman has a supporting man behind her"
i missed your last post at the time - read it now. can only agree with you - about the bad made "new" clothes and - more important - about not to be like everyone. i really tried but it´s not possible for me to blend in. even when i dressed like the masses - in the moment i open my mouth to talk....

Glorious. I love that G helped you bring this outfit together. I could never asked Ben but Cohen has given it his effort a few times and has done well. You look fabulous and really must know where to get such a fab selection of tights as you do. Op shop here never turn up anything but standard old beige, skin tone and black.

Finally I popped over and read you previous post. I'm sorry you have been treated horribly. But I must say I'm so glad over anything you are compelled to be you and stay true to that. I certainly don't have as vast a vintage wardrobe as yourself, Vix and others but I must say that it brings me down if I don't dress to what's in my heart. I agree I just could simply could not be a sheep and be "mainstream".

Love your bed hair and the G outfit, you look like sultry as feck! I adore square dancing dresses forever, a swish and a do-se-do is most invigorating as is Mr Iggy, LOVE that man, he rocks all our worlds wonderfully, I might get Dave to sort me an outfit out, brilliant idea and my hair has been patted down today, no brushing required, I'll stick something on it when I get Charlotte from school x x x

look like? appalling grammar, apologies, I meant to say you look sultry as feck! x x x

I love the green bag!
Every time I see you in a square dancing frock I want one....

See I have been forever scarred by seeing Iggy play at the Sex Pistols reunion thing where he wore see-thru plastic skin tight trousers. Believe me seeing men's bits all squished up and perspiring in plastic is not something you really need to see!?!

Sweet as honey! That boy is the full package, yes indeed. I love his colour suggestions. It sure is good to mix it up. Sexy hair, sexy coat, sexy bod in that dress which fits you to perfection, but also supercute. How do you pull that off? It must be Helga magic! Xxxxxxxxx

hellooooo! Ooh Iggy! my hairdresser is 'nanas for Iggy. he plays him all the time at the salon and the young'ens change it to some other music and he has to reprimand them! haha
I totally agree with G - the green and yellow are a fun addition to the blue gingham! I've been trying to think of more fun colours lately. i've gotten stuck into that idea of colours for each season. i don't know how the flip that happened! reading too many vintage fashion magazines i think. I think a bright yellow dress will do me fine today!

Thank you for your lovely comments regarding my massive knockers.

I don't think my husband could pick out an outfit for me-not sober anyway.

A few years ago, I got out the phonograph, and some records to amuse the kid. He listened to about 15 seconds of Raw Power before deciding it was horrible, and his parents don't know anything about music. It was a strangely pleasing generation-gap moment.

I love your topknot! I love your green tights too. The first thing I thought of when I saw the pretty dress was that it reminds me of Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz. So with that in mind I think you need some ruby slippers.

That gingham dress is just the right combo of barn dance and punk...I think it's the green and yellow accessories. AND is that a need hair colour, it's looking rather dishy. xx Shauna
