But just saying it could even make it happen

I managed to get myself laid out with a head cold!
Helgastock 2014 must have depleted my reserves and left me vulnerable.
All good now, and able to enjoy a glass of vino!
A spot of Autumnal sunshine helped.

Something I haven't mentioned is that our Humpers went missing last November.
We miss him terribly!
Little Peepers got whammied with  vestibular disease just after he vanished, which was really stressful, but she is all gorgeous and perky now!

I made this surprisingly great dip the other day!
It's just 2 cups of peas, 1/2 cup plain yoghurt and 1 cup of mint leaves, chuck it in the food processer, then  add salt and pepper to taste, plus one chopped spring onion!
With some quartered and toasted pita breads (sprinkled with a bit of sumac) it rocked our palates!

I am so enamoured of the hair down look; it's like a whole new Helga, and I feel quite frisky at the sight of you! Gorgeous faux (FAUX) patchwork frock, you look quite ravishing amongst the foliage!
Oh darling, poor you - a cold, and the awfulness of Humpers going missing. That's so sad. Miss Peeps is beautiful, of course, but we always miss our kitteh lovelies who have gone.
Pea dip; who knew?!
Love yooooou! xxxxx

Damn lady, how foxy do you look with those flowing locks! Even getting over a cold you look divine. I am so sorry about poor Humpers - lets hope he is having a little holiday with a family that is looking after him and he will return to you soon. XXX

Glad you and puss cat are feeling better now! Thanks so much for inviting me to be part of Helgastock and so sorry that it was school holidays here and I couldn't hang out a bit more. That dress is pretty darn fab and the layered tights is something I'm gonna have to try.
xxxx Shauna

P.S- I didn't know they were called whale tights- I just thought they were larger fishnets- thanks for the education.

The loose hair and bared face look suits your wildflower amidst the grasses ensemble. Surely one could call this a uniquely New Nealand twist on retro florals updated!

Cats, like other explorers and soldiers of fortune, go missing. One can only look at the moon and bless them on their path... May you be amazed by a miraculous return as I have been.

Melanie said...

You are punting gorgeous in that dress with your hair down, swanning about in the flora and draped over the motorcycle.
Humpers has gone to Hollywood and founded a cult to himself. In fact, I'm very sad that he has gone missing.
Your pea dip looks scrumptious but I'm even more impressed that you made the platter.

Angels have Red Hair said...

Love your hair down ... it's very flattering ... and less work when you are feeling poorly.
I do hope Humpers returns one day ... you just never know ... stranger things have happened.

Sheila said...

Ah, you look lovely with your hair down, so louche and carefree. So sorry to hear about Humpers, but glad Peepers is back to her old self. What a giant and beautiful kitty she is!

That necklace is fabulous - so pretty.

Hi Helga,
I don't think I've ever seen a photo of you with your hair down* and I had to write to let you know I think you look gorgeous.
(not that you don't always look SPECTACULAR!!! of course)

* in saying this I notice your hair is down in your profile pic

So glad you're on the mend!

Your hair looks beautiful; both the color and that you wear it loose. And the green stockings are fun!

Sorry to hear bout your missing cat. That is so sad, I know!

Glad that you and your other cat are in good shape now.

I love your dress and the way it ziggy-zags around the hem. I'm becoming quite enamoured of faux patchwork too, I think it was Vintage Bird Girl who alerted me to its fabulousness. Wee Humpers must be sadly missed by everyone, and I'm sure Peepers is getting double the attention.

Before I rave on about your beauty and your gorgeous hair, the toi toi, the cat, the stockings, the Autumnal sunshine,a poxy head cold, Whose is the Norton you are draped on?? My dad had an old BSA, such cool old bikes.
You look absolutely stunning with your hair down, not that you don't with it up, but OMFG!!! Smokin hot honey, lucky G man. Hope you are feeling better.

Love the dress and tights combo, these pictures are lovely and that bike looks like something I will salivate over..Shame about Humpers and glad Little Peepers is doing well..You look well and truly recovered from Helgastock and ready for new adventures x

I'm absolutely mesmerised by these photos of you, actually, that's not quite right: WE are mesmerised, even Q is nebbing and that's before 8am. You look so delicious. Even better than the hot cross bun I just scoffed and that had butter on it! I love you in this dress, the fit and colour matches your hair so perfectly and shows off your amazing bod. Head cold? Blah. Down with that kind of thing. Little Humpers. I often think of him. Poor baby. It's been 7 years since I lost my boy and i still have the odd pang. They steal our hearts, fact. Thank goodness for sweet old Peepers. Xxxxxxxx

Vix said...

Cor, look at you draped over a bike with your hair down, a proper biker chick.
Loving the lime green tights and the fake patchwork frock and how fabulous you look in all of it.
Poor Humpers, hopefully he's safe and just got lost, living n a new home until he finds his way back, it happened to a cat of my parents years ago.
Hope you feel a million times better now - I do just by looking at you! Love you! xxxxx

peaches mcginty said...

Flaming heck! hot pics of you! of course I love you with your hair up, but I love it down too, and with you draped over a bike with a glass of wine, you are foxy delicious!
I'm glad you are feeling better, head colds suck - Peepers is gorgeous and how sad about Humpers? I always think some cats have 2 or 3 homes, we used to have a very well fed regular visitor we called Blossom, he could be having a little adventure, I hope he returns soon though x x x

Catherine said...

oh no! too much partying for you huh? and am loving your frock with its faux quilting print. I do hope your naughty cold clears up soon!
And as for your poor kitty, i do hope he is off gallivanting somewhere lovely, chasing birds, eating fishes and cutting the tails off skinks to watch them run away. i would be completely devastated if i lost my Balthasar. Though he stays inside all day so its ok. Its never good when anyone goes missing, no less a cat because there is no one to help to look for them!

i hope all is well at Chez Helga otherwise xoxo

Wowzers your flame red hair looks even more divine than the outfit (and that's some hot competition) - fabularse autumnal colours and enough sex appeal to start a riot! You are my heroine Helga! PLus the title of this post is a line from one of my all time favourite songs.... Kate Bushtastic.

I'm at the age where I consistently mis-read things, today's example being,

"I managed to get myself laid with a head cold." Ahem, I'm glad you're feeling better now.
Yeah, there's an eye exam in my future.

You made the platter? That is some serious skill. I'm in awe of people that can make things.

Forest City Fashionista said...

You should let your hair down more often darlin', it's a gorgeous waterfall of fire, and matches that dress just perfectly. I'm so sorry you have a cold, and that you lost one of your feline friends. Glad Peepers is feeling better.

Shawna McComber said...

I'm so sorry about Humpers. I know I would be gutted over that.

I love the colours of your dress and how they work with your hair. The photos are all just awesome!

The pea dip (that doesn't sound good) looks delicious and probably tastes very fresh and summery.

I am coming so late to this and everyone has complimented you more eloquently than I could.

But, you look so wonderful and the love on your face, in that picture with Little Peepers in the foreground, is very empowering, you know, just woman and cat lover to woman and cat lover.

That dress is freaking amazeballs - generally I'm not one for "rules" when it comes to colours, but I do love autumnal tones in autumn - actually that's a lie, I love them ALL THE TIME!! Fabulous tights too, I'm pretty sure you have the best collection of tights in the universe!
